Um hello, newbie, ttc, needing a place to talk to people :)

I've been reading the site for ages but decided to sign up as need an outlet and place to talk as ttc is quite secret and it's not something I have loads of people I could talk about it with. Plus I'm quite shy and my ovaries aren't something to bring up at social gatherings!
I'm 31, came off pill in October and me and boyfriend have been ttc since. I didn't know how long it would take to get back to normal as had been on pill for eleven years. Turns out it took four weeks, and am now on third AF since coming off, so annoyingly normal in one way! I'm getting my head round all this tracking stuff but don't want it all to get clinical with the fella as it takes the fun away!
So just wanted to say hi and hopefully share in people's stories. It's not all as straightforward as I always thought, and I'm always the one that would start panicking something was wrong with me. I'm pleased I found somewhere I can just write it down if nothing else.
So, hi, and hopefully can take some good advice away.

Still got cramps in the morning and serious nausia. Other than that ok really. Still peed off about dh working on our week off. Probably going bto be a bit sour about that for a while yet.
How far into tww are you helen?

I think I'm on the 2ww. I should be, unless body is playing a cruel trick on me and I'm on for a long cycle.

Lots of cramps really low down over the last 2 days, I've got a headache, sore boobs, nausea & I feel like I've been run over by a bus. Trying not to read too much into it as I could just be coming down with a cold or AF could come early.

BFP/AF due 31st Jan/1st Feb going on last months length of cycle but I think I ov'd 4 days earlier this month so could be due around 28th. Either way, I'm not POAS until 2nd Feb at earliest.

I'm in agreement about starting our own pregnancy thread!
After over a week of feeling absolutely fine (other than mega tired) nausea appears to be my new best friend - hopefully this won't last too long. I got my maternity exemption card for prescriptions in the post this morning along with a date for the dating scan - I seem to be collecting a pile of paperwork already and haven't even seen the midwife!

Sorry to hear about dh working, mrsb - I hope it works out better than currently expected!

Just a little correction on my current status... I am POAS tomorrow but it will be 3 days before af not after! Can't wait! Off to buy my pee sticks at lunch time

Yay, binkybunny! I hope wherever you are has more sticks available than when I popped into Boots here earlier (on the way for more gaviscon.) and noticed there was one solitary pregnancy test sitting on the shelf! Clearly people have been rather...ahem...busy recently!

Ah, don't fret about all the info mrsb. The thing about pregnancy is it takes FUCKING AGES, so you have a really long time to find out everything. You don't need to do anything really. For all the obsessing we do on these forums, there's not much we can do to change anything!

You'll get a "booking in" appointment with a midwife around 8 or 9 weeks and they'll go through everything with you.

Well my period is 6 days late now. I am exhausted (though I am on night shifts, so). I also feel a bit nauseous. Going to test tomorrow…. just want to get last shift out the way first!

I bought a clearblue digital today, I know I should wait and test in the morning but I want to know now! Well thats work finished for a week off, and had a good end to a rather rubbish week by an increaseinmy contracted hours AND every other weekend off. Well chuffed

No shortage in Boots Perth Kiki, we're obviously not as 'busy' as where you are! I got a bit of a selection including some Clearblue digi ones to use when I get a BFP.

I'm having a non alcoholic beer at the moment. What's anyones thoughts on these. They contain tiny amount of alcohol but do you think its ok to have one or two?

Well AF is due today and there's no sign of her - no spotting or anything and I don't feel pre-menstrual. But poas this morning and BFN... I'm about 11dpo I think so maybe too early?

I just want to know either way!! Gaaahhh

It's a gorgeous sunny day here and I'm sitting by the pool so things could be worse!

Well after waking up at 5am with Dh's alarm going off as he had forgotten to reset it for the weekend, I managed to resist my poas moment for an hour only to get a BFN .

Still 3 days til af due so not giving up just yet!
