AF or Pregnancy cramps?

AF was due today or maybe tomorrow. I am having cramps, like a dull ache and tugging sensations. I don't get a lot of period pain normally. I have also had three faint positives on First Response, the most recent which I took this afternoon being the most obvious. I think I remember feeling as if I was going to 'come on' with my eldest son which I obviously didn't but I would love to know if any of you ladies have had what you thought was AF pain but was in fact pregnant. Thank you!!

Yes I did. I had really bad pre period pains and was feeling sorry for myself so throwing red wine down very fast to ease the pain-still nothing by morning so bought a cheap test just to reassure me I wasn't and historically when this was negative I would then come on because no longer stressing about being pregnant-pfb ds is now 18 months and I still regret doing that test in the loo at work presuming it would be negative and then having to carry on as if all was normal.

Well I cant really speak from experience cos I am currently all over the place following a MC and new pregnancy symptoms, but from all the research I have done I think there are many people that experience mild cramping on implantation (usually around the time your period would be due) and throughout the first trimester as the uterus is stretching for the new arrival.

If you have a positive test you are pregnant so CONGRATULATIONS!!

Thank you very much for your replies, they have really helped. And Baxter, I am very sorry for your loss. I've been there myself and it's hard but GOOD LUCK to you for the future :)

Are you pregnant?

I've had period symptoms for over a week, although gone now, and no period! I haven't tested though I'm scared of getting another negative. I've got no pregnancy symptoms at all, only thing I've had is a few cramps and an occasional pull across my stomach. Judging from my last two cycles I'm between 2-5 days late.

Fingers crossed! :)

I honestly don't know :( I have had three faint positives on first response, took my last one this morning (I should have waited to see it in the natural light) and there was the faintest of faint lines. I'm really worried that this is a chemical pregnancy. AF is due today or it could have been yesterday, I'm not sure as I had the Mirena removed recently. I'm off out to get a different brand. I always use cb and have never had any problems with them so will try that I think. I would go for it and test! It certainly sounds as if you're pregnant - especially if you're late! Go for it and let us know what happens. Good luck!!
