How often should you DTD?

I vaguely remember hearing that dtd daily during your fertile window can may harm your ability to conceive. Has anyone else heard this? What are your thoughts?

You should be DDT every 2 to 3 days throughout your cycle. This will make sure that you capture ovulation but will also make sure that your DP produced enough sperm for DDT to be effective (if you do it too often I think that it can basically reduce the amount around each time iirc)

I have conceived twice and on both of those occasions we DTD every day leading up, including and after o. I think if there are no male factor issues -every day means a good supply of swimmers capable of fertilising the egg when it pops out.

I think it is generally thought that unless the sperm count is low to start with dtd daily is ok if you can manage it?

We dtd every day pretty much throughout my whole cycle sometimes twice a day - my coil came out 7 weeks ago today and i found out i was pregnant yesterday!

Me and DH only DTD 3 times in the month I fell pregnant. Those 3 occasions were spread over 8 days and across my fertile period, I.e when I thought I was ovulating.

yea thinking about it, with my second pregnancy i probably only dtd once or twice in the whole month (unplanned pregnancy) so we must have timed it pretty well without even realising! shows, if its meant to happen that month it will so dont stress about it too much. :-)

To be honest,I don't think there are hard and fast rules for any of this stuff. We dtd on cd12, 13, 14 and conceived on either cd14 or 15 so we dtd quite a bit that month.

I went to docs today and she said the fertile window is longer than most people think. Told me to basically dtd every other day as soon as af has cleared up (obviously before if that takes your fancy too!).
