When I had my DD nearly 6 years ago at 4 weeks they thought she was ectopic and I had a laparoscopy which turned out to be a small cysts which they removed as I was under anyway!

The pregnancy developed okay!

Anyway I'm now wanting to TTC #3 and I'm worried if that operation would have caused any damage! The consultant never said and after they saw the pregnancy on the scan no more was said!

Should I be concerned about any damage?

Hi, I recently had a lap too, to remove a cyst On my ovary, and was overly concerned that my ovary etc would be damaged during the op. I explained this too the doc and told him I was ttc, he said it wouldst no difference to that as they were only removing the cyst from on top of my ovary. Sometimes cysts are wrapped round the ovary and the have to remove part or the whole ovary.

Even if they did do that then you would still have part of your ovary and your other one.

I would speak to your gp, have you been ttc for long?

That ment to say, the lap would make no diff to ttc

No only now starting but that popped I to my mind! The consultant never said it was damaged or anything and just said it was a cyst and what I can remember he said it was one of those cysts which is hormone lead and would have gone on its own if I hadn't had the laparoscopy!

It just entered my mind tonight and worried me x
