Clearblue digi - levels dropping?

Hi

I had a BFP a few weeks ago, by my lmp I should be nearly 6 weeks. It was a faint positive so I had a blood test, hcg was low - 44 then two days later 84.

I still don't feel pregnant so took a clearblue digi 2 days ago and it said 2-3 meaning I'm 4-5 so that made me bang on. I had another test so I've just peed on this one and its saying 1-2 Hmm

I did the other test in the afternoon, so no difference in timing the only difference was today I poas whereas two days ago I dipped it in urine for about 30secs.

Any advice?

Hormone levels fluctuate all the time in early pregnancy and each person is different hence why cb digis aren't always that accurate. As for the symptom lack of don't worry too much they'll make up soon enough. Hope this helps. :) if you get really worried pester the midwives :)

Trouble is I am one Grin

Sometimes the knowledge of what can and does go wrong can be worse. Ignorance is bliss!

I may just ask the SHO on my shift later what they think. I know I'm probably worrying over nothing, but I've had recurrent mc and with those I had low hcg levels and no symptoms. Having said that I had no symptoms last successful pregnancy until later on, so I know what you mean!

Thanks for the reply x

Do you have another test to dip with? I find POAS a bit hit and miss for consistency so I am a compulsive dipper. Good luck for a healthy pregnancy.

I'd try to wangle another couple of blood tests 48 hrs apart to see what the levels are really doing in your position.

I would buy some more and use FMU as they specifically say on the box that the conception indicator is only accurate if used with fmu! I think you're fine your wee was probably less concentrated the other day! More tests will put your mind at rest!

Clear Blue Digitals with week indicators are supposedly famous for fucking up on the weeks, even more so the further along you get. If you had a blood test and the levels are clearly going up I would not worry much.

If you haven't already, do another one with a first morning sample using the dip in a pot method. If you are still getting 1-2 see a doctor. Otherwise stay away from the sticks. I have had issues with these tests in this pregnancy and last, both of which are just fine. Ironically, the two pregnancies i miscarried, the tests went up exactly as they were supposed to each week.
