Im on the mini pill but have trouble swallowing tablets so sometimes it takes a while and the table is nearly dissolved by the time i swallow it. does this affect its effectiveness?

No, it doesn't.

Top tip for swallowing a tablet, instead of throwing your head back where you are closing your throat off, tilt your chin into your chest, place tablet as far back as you can and sip from a glass of water. Tablets are easily downed that way as your throat is more open.
