FRER FAINT line - ADVICE NEEDED!!!

cbmb12 · 23/12/2013 19:18

I POAS this morning (clearblue digital with conception date) and it said not pregnant, but I am addicted to poas....so, this evening did an FRER and I had a very (barely visible) second pink line. Husband saw it too and confirmed that I wasn't mad about the second line.
AF due on 25th....
Does that sound like a positive and what are the chances of false positives??

As I understand it, a line is a line, but this is my first time ttc. Have another go in the morning? FX for a strong line for you Smile

Frer are, IMO, the dogs bollocks of hpt. (And I've peed on enough). So I think yes!! Congratulations!!

I woke up so early and desperately needed the toilet and felt sick...so did the CB test...but when it came up negative I sort of thought that was it as they detect same level of HcG apparently...but there was def a faint line on the frer..... ARG
Terrified of getting a negative result tomorrow.....

frer are more sensitive than cb digi. I would do a frer again with fmu in morning or wait til xmas day and do it then

cbmb12 · 23/12/2013 19:39

I'm not sure I am physically capable of waiting till Xmas day - also if I get a BFN it might ruin the day!!!

Feelingfatty · 23/12/2013 19:49

Poas again with fmu but looks likes congrats are in order!!!

cbmb12 · 23/12/2013 20:17

Husband just convinced me to do another frer (he's even more impatient than me). Also has vvv faint line.

Thanks guys - you are making me feel less alone/insane! God what a weird feeling....we dont know whether to feel celebratory or to hold off in case they aren't accurate

OP posts:
PuppyMummy · 23/12/2013 20:55

do it with fmu on a frer! fingers crossed!

cbmb12 · 23/12/2013 21:02

I used all my frers, so will have to run to chemist tomorrow before going to bathroom! Now panicking about evap line on second test (i think result was within 5 mins, but now am questioning myself!!)
Thanks for the support guys...fingers crossed.

Can always pee in a pot before you go Smile

cbmb12 · 23/12/2013 21:18

My lines were faint from day af was due, gradually got darker. Now I can poas anytime of day and the line is darker than control. Cb digi didn't pick it up until 3 days later so don't worry about that result. Stick with the frer x x

cbmb12 · 23/12/2013 21:31

Thanks! The fact that the second test (done within about 45 mins of first) was even fainter worries me...but maybe that's just cause hcg was more diluted? Damned possible evap lines.... !

OP posts:
Feelingfatty · 23/12/2013 21:52

Probably just more diluted im sure it's fine!!

cbmb12 · 23/12/2013 22:17

Thanks Feelingfatty! I'm going stir crazy. Its been a hell of a year and so am finding remaining calm and patient nigh on impossible.!!

MrsClauswearsspanx · 23/12/2013 22:31

A line is a line is a line. Congratulations are in order methinks! What a Xmas present!

cbmb12 · 23/12/2013 22:36

Let's pray it isn't evap, and that there is no nasty chemical pregnancy business....EEK! I'll let you all know what my test in the morning says!

OP posts:
givemeaboost · 23/12/2013 22:40

yuk I wish people wouldn't use the phrase chemical pregnancy, it is an early miscarriage, not a false pregnancy.
Sounds hopeful though, fx for a darker line in the morning!

cbmb12 · 23/12/2013 22:55

Oh, I know it isn't a 'false pregnancy', it just seems to be the accepted term for early miscarriage.... but I agree, it is a weird way of saying it!

OP posts:
Feelingfatty · 23/12/2013 22:55

Give me a boost I thought there was a difference...i know doctors who say chemical pregnancy...didn't realise wasn't a correct phrase!!

Feelingfatty · 23/12/2013 22:56

I'm sure I'm wrong though!
