I was 37 when I conceived DS and 38 not long after he arrived (conceived on 4th cycle). I am now 41 and pregnant with twins 9conceived on 1st cycle!)

I know others who have also conceived at 37 or older so it can happen.
Good luck

I conceived 3 months after we started trying..I was 36, we have a beautiful little boy, harry. Now im 40 and would love a brother or sister for hm! My worry is that its just not going to happen for me. After a hellish year..I was in a car accident, then in October I contracted bacterial meningitis. .Thankfully im ok now, but the thought that I could have died and leaving my son without his mummy has left me depressed and not sleeping, doc has put me on antidepressants and even tho im feeling a bit better I still feel like its going to take a miracle for me to become pregnant again..also would it be fair for me to even try? I know im being negative. .im just struggling with the thought that my dream of being pregnant and for harry to have a little brother or sister isn't going to happen. .anyone

been on anti d's then got pregnant. (At my age!) Thanks

Hello, Happy new year.
Cant offer any hope but decided to join in as I too am 37 and ttc. Turned 37 a few days ago and have been attempting to at least try properly for last 2 months. I say attempting as was pretending we werent so I wouldnt worry and I dont even understand what half the abbreviations mean on these forums!!
Good luck all!

SwedeAway · 02/01/2014 05:40

Hi, can I join please. I am 38, have one DD who is 3. Had a mc last week and now waiting to start ttc again. Also worried about my age but seeing previous posts made me feel more positive.

Apparentlychilled · 02/01/2014 06:45

Hi all. Don't know if this helps but I'm 37 and fell pg easily with no 3 just after my bday. I'd had an ectopic (and ionenof my tubes removed) about 6 months earlier so had thought it might not happen. I have older children and had a (smallish) delay getting pg each time, as I came off the pills when ttc though I had age in my side w earlier pregnancies (I was 32 and 35).

Good luck to all.

BikeRunSki · 02/01/2014 06:51

DS conceived shortly after my 37th birthday, first cycle.
DD conceived at 40, born 3 weeks to the day before my 41st birthday.
Both babies fine. Had hyperemisis in both pg, but that is not age related.

Partynibbles · 02/01/2014 06:54

Second cycle 37 year old here! Due this summer.

Apparentlychilled · 02/01/2014 07:09

Ps this baby was conceived 1s cycle too and so was my ectopic (at 36). Other 2 pregnancies took about 6 months ttc

Cakebaker35 · 02/01/2014 08:40

I'm 37 too, TTC #2 and came off the pill in Oct. Conceived DD1 immediately aged 35. Already getting stressed this time around that it might not happen so I'm looking for calm words of wisdom rather than 'oh blimey you might not even be ovulating anymore' which is what one helpful person said!!

Sorry to hear about your mc swede Flowers

Good luck everyone.

I'm 35 and pregnant with dc3. Have been on anti d's for all pregnancies. Caught on first cycle.

SwedeAway · 03/01/2014 06:24

Hi Cake, I also conceived my DD at 35 without really trying. This time I got pg in my third cycle but mc at 6 weeks. Really shocked about it as its one of those things you don't expect to happen to you although I know it's very common. Now just waiting for my body to be ready to start ttc again.

SwedeAway · 03/01/2014 06:26

Juule, your stats certainly have given me hope.

Cakebaker35 · 03/01/2014 11:40

Swede, wishing you lots of luck once you feel ready to TTC again.

Juule, thanks it is great to hear those positive stats!

Lullabyte · 03/01/2014 11:49

37 - 2 pregnancies, 2 mcs (3 months ttc both times)

38 - 1 pg, 1 beautiful DS (1st month ttc!)

Good luck to all Flowers

workshyfop · 03/01/2014 11:59

I conceived at age 35 and 39. On anti-d's both times. Two healthy babies Smile

Good luck to everyone trying.

Lullabyte · 03/01/2014 13:10

I should also add that my sister conceived and gave birth to two perfect DDs (at ages 32 & 36) while on anti-ds - it shouldn't hinder your efforts whatsoever.

crazyhead · 03/01/2014 13:21

Conceived my two sons first cycle aged 34 and 36

Brummiegirl15 · 03/01/2014 20:33

Hi, can I join this thread too? 37 years of age, will be 38 in Oct!!! DP and I have been together 18 months and just had first discussions about TTC. This will be my first time - just hadn't been in the right relationship until now. Singe for 8 yrs prior!!!

So I'm scared, want a DC sooo much but am scared I'm too old. But hey just going to be brave and just jump on in and see what happens!!!

Good luck all

Cakebaker35 · 04/01/2014 18:38

Welcome Brummie and hello to everyone else still TTC and not go mad! Feel like it is all I am thinking about at the moment. I'm really trying not to get stressed as I know that really won't help but just find it really difficult to switch off from it all. Any tips on staying sane ladies? Confused
