I started a thread a few weeks ago about ovulation and BF, but can't now find it.

I am BF DD and thought my AF wasn't right. Dr did a series of blood tests and they showed I wasn't ovulating. Was told to redo bloods, and if still no ovulation then I had to quit BF. This was very upsetting but lots of people gave me support and advice on here. DD is 15 months old and I only have 1 friend who still BFs, so noone in RL could really help....

Just wanted to thank all the lovely ladies who helped me out. I got a BFP this afternoon and am still feeding - without the support on here I think I would have given up in the hope of catching no 2.

Sending lots of babydust to all those still trying and hoping you get good news soon

Congratulations!

Congrats DollyP (and a little!)

Just goes to show doesn't it!

Just out of curiosity, when did your af return?

DollyP · 21/07/2006 00:03

My af returned in January, but I could tell by lack of EWCM that nothing was happening. Blood test confirmed this. Cleary the threat of having to give up BF kickstarted something! Worst of all, DD hasn't been very interested in BF for the last couple of days so I may have to stop now anyway!

Bobblehead, I have followed you on various thread (esp the Isis scope one I think?) and am really hoping for some good news for you soon. X

Thanks DollyP, I'm suffering from a lack of ewcm now too (though strangely had it many times before af returned) but you have really given me hope my body just needs a little time. Sorry for being nosy, but were you "trying" this month (i.e spot any ov signs or just time things right) or was it a total surprise?

I'm v.v happy for you and will be interested to hear how you cope with a toddler and pregnancy!

DollyP · 21/07/2006 12:22

Thanks for your kind words Bobblehead. I'll be interested to see how I cope with a toddler and a baby too!!

We were bonking in the week when I thought I was fertile timewise. There was some EWCM but not as much as have had i the past.

Anything else you want to know - feel free to ask .

Oh, congratulations! I remember your first post. I'm really happy for you.

Some DCs do seem to self-wean when the mother becomes pregnant -- I've had it happen to a couple of people I know. At least this way you're letting her lead the process.

Thanks Dolly, I'm sure I'll think of something!
