Can very short luteal phases suddenly change to super long or am I pregnant!?

Hi Id like some advice please. I usually have very short luteal phases (9days) which has led to a couple of early miscarriages, but this cycle has been very unusual, I ovulated day ten, had a couple of very sharp pains centre lower abdomen 12 days later which I was convinced heralded the onset of af, but my luteal phase is now 20 days and counting! Got slightly sore breasts but that's it. My temps are all over the place, shooting up every couple of days, then down again, then a couple of days later right up again. However even when my temps are low Im actually feeling really hot and flushed. Is it possible for a luteal phase defect to suddenly reverse itself so quickly and dramatically?

Have you poas??

ScrambledSmegs · 19/12/2013 12:29

I would POAS.

I have short luteal phases too and in my sample size of one it's unusual but not unheard of to have a longer phase. But 20 is very long. So POAS!

Haven't done peestick yet Im terrified of testing since having miscarriages and dodgy hormone levels, I know I should but each day Im convinced af is coming and then nothing!

Pains that u get in early pregnancy are very similar to af/ibs type symptoms so doesn't mean she's coming! If you've left it this late the chemical pregnancy is out so a bfp would be true and if you have history of miscarriages they can offer you an early scan?

Good luck! 20 sounds longer than 'normal'.

Well I've done two tests but neg. However still no sign of af, still got sore boobs, and my temps have been up for 22 days now, and for the last couple of days they seem to have gone up another level somehow! Very confusing!
