Hi all

Just wondering what everyone is doing about drinking at Christmas. Im in the 2ww, should be fine to drink right?

Af is due around end of Dec/ beginning of Jan so might not drink too much at ny just in case

Is it fair to say bfn and you can drink?

Just dont want to have to tell anyone (even parents) until we are 100% sure we are pg!

People have different attitudes to this. Personally I don't put my life on hold for the ttw.
I don't drink copious amounts anyway but will be having a few glasses over xmas. Af is due 1st Jan for me.

I didn't change my drinking habits until I got the BFP. In fact, I changed none of my habits until then. My theory is "live as you normally do, shag regularly and it will happen".
Some people take ttc very seriously and might be putting themselves under too much pressure, like it's a mission. Just relax and let it happen is my view. Enjoy the festive season!

Drink away until you get your bfp! That's what I did anyway! I was ttc for 13 months and so glad I didn't put while life on hold for thAt whole time. Each to their own though!!

I only found out today BFP im about 5 weeks. ive drank at least once a week before i found out so it hasnt stopped me getting pregnant but i wont touch a drop now.

Ditto Molly!! Wouldn't knowingly drink at all but god those 13 months would have been even longer without wine!!!

waggamamma looks like we're testing buddies, same date for BFP due.

I'm not stopping drinking, just not going mad. Had a mulled wine last night and probably a glass or two of vino this evening. Last Christmas I got hammered on Christmas day so this year I'm using it as an excuse/reason to try not to do the same so I actually remember past 7pm.

Halved the amount of tea/coffee too. This has been extremely difficult at work as we're all big tea drinkers. Might have to start having sneaky decaf brews and offer to make all the rounds.
