Swollen tummy

.... thought someone on here might be able to help me.

My lower abdomen has swollen slightly and i must admit it looks like i am 3 months pregnant (or what i imagine i would look like). It is slighty hard and i have a few stitch like pains on the sides, i am due to see a consultant ref. low prog levels and non ovualtion at the end of the month and was wondering if anyone else thinks i may have cysts on my ovaries? PCOS has been ruled out as my other hormone levels were fine.

I am not stick thin but it has grown in the last few weeks and i don't like it, i have tried eating less but with no luck.

Any suggestions??

not v enlightening but can only say from when my p's first started my tummy has always got distended..

since having mirena removed i've also had the hard tummy wall thing going on. haven't diarised it but it was 'hard' about 3rd day into AF and is hard to right side again at mo.

and i'm sure i don't eat that much more than any choc loving girl. haven't been to gym for about 3 weeks but even when was doing 4 big workouts a week it would still happen.

had scan as had pains & showed about 4 or 5 small cysts on each ovary, but was told they were type that go down. still get bad pain in right side throughout month, ovulation is distinctly different, mor of a sunction on left or right ovary it alternates. the stich pains, it started last august and on some mornings i can't bend over to pull knickers up on right hand side. incidentally my 'hip' is also not symetric to other side, almost like there could be a bigger cyst on the right, pushing my shape out a bit.

v confusing.. might be similar to yours or might not be natty.

either way i dont have any answers.

is yours sort of balanced across the width of your body? i think my tummy tends to slightly to the left or the right, and to that end think it is linked to where my uterus is.. can it shift slightly? god knows.

Natty is there any chance that you may actually be pregnant? Don't want to put your hopes up as I know from other postings that you would love to get pregnant.

I found that my tummy swelled (esp with dd2 as any muscles I had had 'disappeared' ) The stretchings could be the uterus stretching and therefore getting a pulling sensation -this is quite normal as long as not too painful etc.

Last cycle was 35 days, know on day 36 but my cycles can be up to 70 days, not really have much sex (sorry if TMI) and temp charts indication non ovualation and OPK's no +. So very much doubt i would be pregnant.

Oh well hopefully when i go in at the end of the month they can scan and i will see.

You say that PCOS has been ruled out - what hormones were looked at?. Did they compare your LH and FSH levels. If they did not then PCOS cannot be entirely ruled out. Low progesterone levels can also be symptomatic of ovulatory problems like PCOS.

I'm no help I'm afraid - just nosey!!

No i feel fine, just really bloated. Last week i did have AF pains and this week i have got a bit of CM but its yellow/green/cream (no itch or smell so not an infection) You would have thought with this heat and eating less the weight would be coming off - no such luck.

Too be honest not quiet sure what else i can do, apart from exercise to see if that gets rid of it, but it's too hot.

Might do preg test tomorrow am as they sometimes bring on your period don't they. LOL

Were your LH and FSH levels the same?

Not sure of the exact result, just got told all my levels were fine on the first hormone blood test i had and on my second blood test it revealed my progestrone was level 1
