Eeek! Absent minded test looks positive!!

So I went to the loo earlier and despite convincing myself this wasn't the month for some reason I thought I'd do a cheapy test any way. I did a couple last month that were negative so I know what one of those looks like but this one had a faint pink line!!

As I wasn't expecting that I didn't really pay much attention to time etc or thought it might be a faulty test so i've just done another two and got the same thing!

We're in the third month of trying for our first so I totally had a little mini freak out. Is that normal? I've calmed down now but I suddenly realised this is all so real now! Trying not to get to excited as my sister has had a few miscarriages but generally Yay!!

Yes I know they're same strength but lines (on mine) seemed to be generally a much fainter colour than those on ALL the other tests! Even passed period and even tests that are not as good strength!

It would be nice to see 'pregnant' written down but I do think I am pregnant looking at these IC tests and the superdrug one. My worry about this pregnancy is that it will not stick with all the trouble my sister had getting pregnant. She lost hers in the early weeks but I know it won't be that instant and the test last night was probably just a duff one.

Anyway two more IC tests this morning and compared to the ones two days ago although the line is still faint it's getting darker!

Just looked you were last to post so saw! Definite bfps! My first ones were that faint (if not fainter) so strong now, congrats!!!

Thanks FF :) Looking at this site too it tells me i'm in day 27 of my cycle and those top two would have been on day 25 so no wonder they were faint lol. I love how my cycles have been like clock work since I was 13 till the month I want to get pregnant!

I got pregnant when I was 19 (ended in an abortion thanks to a unsupportive baby daddy and me thinking I had no other choice but thats another story) I will never forget the nurse telling me I was just pregnant. I had no idea what that meant! I thought you either were or your weren't.

Think I will post on here seeing as u all are getting ur bfps (big congratulations by the way) it certainly is a lucky thread!
I am currently on cd51 had my coil removed the beginning of August since then cycles have varied between 44 to 39 days but poas about a million times all bfn!
not sure when I ovulated or even if I have yet to so please send me some luck my way its not over til af arrives!

Ah princess good luck with it all this month! I really hope you get your bfp soon! Are you still Dtd in case you haven't actually ov yet? I know it can become a bit of a chore!!

April sorry you had to go through that when you were younger, must have been difficult but now is hopefully your happy ending how long is your cycle usually? I got my first faint positive on cd 25 of a 28 day cycle and they started very faint also!! How you feeling now? Starting to sink in? I'm literally counting down the days until 12 weeks, just want to (hopefully) know alls okay and can shout it from the roof tops!!

My cycle is normally 28-30 but favouring the shorter end of that. Last month was 35 though so I'm not sure if i'm back to 28 or what!

Yesterday I had such a churny stomach but nothing like I normally get with AF. Today I still have naseau, keep feeling really hungry but then I go and look at food in the kitchen and I feel like throwing up. I've also been a bit dizzy and faint also not something I normally get. I'm with you on the 12 week wait! This is going to be hard but even getting to 40-45 ish will be good to know i've past my usual AF date.

Ah I'm sure you'll be fine! I would maybe do a digital this week then another same day next week and you'll be able to see progression of dates on conception indicator! That really helped me!! I'm okay, very tired and have v v v bad bloating which is what I had with dd. I didn't feel sick until around 7 weeks, hoping it doesn't come this time!! Boobs r v heavy and sensitive as well! Tmi!! I'm feeling okay just want to know everything is going to be okay but will have to be patient!!!

Thanks guys yeah still dtd, on the off chance yesterday took an ovulation test was very dark so fingers crossed!
April- heard that the more nauseous u feel the stronger the hormones, so stay positive! hope the 12 week wait will fly by for both of u, hopefully xmas and new year will be a nice distraction!

Oh that's good princess! Could be because if ov or pregnancy as both these things cause positive opks! I'm going Xmas and new year make a few weeks of it go fast at least!!

Hiya, been busy with work and trying to ignore things a bit today.
Tired and insanely thirsty though! Nausea still on and off, I thought it might be just worrying a little to start with but I've been a lot more chilled today and still feeling icky. Hopefully it's all good signs. Slight period type pains this morning, a bit of a worry as I'd be due AF around today but nothing so far nd that's died down now. It's hard not to symptom spot when you've got a butt load of symptoms. :)
Now just to work our how to manage the social occasions over the weekend! Christmas and new year will be a good distraction but avoiding all those drink offers and soft cheeses is going to be hard! Think we might have to tell the folks.

Hey April, sounds like you are feeling about as good as me!! To be quite honest I feel like I had a really heavy night the night before and have a super hangover! Super tired and queasy on and off! It's the tiredness that's the worse for me at the moment! The stomach cramps seems to have died down now, only a few pulls here and there. I'm so sad as I have been feeling so rough all day I treated myself to doing a leftover pregnancy test earlier! Just to get the thrill of the bfp again!! It was nice as it is super duper dark now!!! I've told my parents as I had a family thing last weekend and needed their help to cover it up!

Thats great that your getting super dark lines now. :) I know what you mean about the tiredness although seems to be coming in waves for me. Walked to town and back and then spent the rest of the day working from the sofa but by about 10pm I was super awake!
I'm not sure how I'm going to manage today. I've got loads of cooking to do for a family shindig over the weekend. Hopefully I wont feel sick for to long looking at all that food.
Did my last superdrug test this morning. Not super dark yet but it started to show within the first minute now instead of the last like when I first tested.
Seeing some friends down the local for christmas drinks tonight. I think I'm going to have to tell them. I wont be driving so no excuses for not drinking and they are my closest girlies so they will probably know something is up pretty quick.

The only people I've told is dh, parents and two of my close friends. That's it now until 12 weeks but it's so hard!!! I caved and did my last digi this morning and pleased to see it's gone from 2-3 on Monday to now being 3+ so obviously hcg must be doubling nicely :) just going to take that as a good sign fx! Hope you manage to do all your cooking! I have a nice easy weekend this one as dd is going to my parents for two nights! Takeaway and early night for me and dh I think!!

The baking seems to be a welcome distraction so far. Feeling quite good today, hope it doesn't hit me tonight when I should be socialising! I'm looking forward to telling someone else. Poor DH is getting it all at the moment. :) I suppose it is his fault after all. ;)

Congrats April, glad you're feeling more sure about everything now! I still don't seem to have any pregnancy symptoms except for feeling a little bit tired and having sore boobs. Still I guess its early days. Had my works xmas do this week and had to dodge loads of questions about why I wasn't drinking - I'm sure everyone can see right through me! Gonna have to tell my mum next week I think as she'll know something is up if I'm not drinking on xmas day. Would rather leave it a couple more weeks because it still doesn't seem real to me yet, but nevermind.

little update, did a clearblue digital on christmas day (nice little present to myself ;) ) and it said 3+ crazy! I think i'm about 5+5 today.
We told our parents. DH's mum nearly defend me when she screamed in my ear. My folks already have two grandkids so excited but a bit more chilled.
Off to the doctors on Monday as I still haven't changed my details to married so I'll get the ball rolling then and let them know I'm pregnant too. Excited, so much more chilled. I know things can go wrong but I'll just cross that bridge if we come to it and for now I'm enjoying chilling out as I'm totally knackered. Thanks baby. ;) We went to run a couple of errands yesterday and I thought I was going to fall asleep sat in one of the shops. Never been one for napping but I'm certainly finding my napping groove the last couple of days.
