If you had a mirena coil taken out, how long did it take you to have a period again?

I had mine taken out on 29th Nov and I had a bit of bleeding a few days after but nowhere near what I would class as a normal period. Then last Tuesday I had a bit of spotting. We've been dtd quite regularly but I have no idea where in my cycle I am! Does anyone have any experience of this at all?

Mine was a little over a month, but it took quite a long time until they got back to normal, they were very light for a few months, took me 5 cycles to conceive despite previously having conceived first month trying (when I had been on the pill). Dr said this was normal as it can take up to 6 months for womb lining to thicken enough for implantation - then again, I know others who have conceived quickly following mirena removal so it must vary from person to person!

Mine came out in late October and I was pregnant by early January. Fingers crossed for you.

Mine came out end of March. Light bleed immediately as was end of cycle. Had period in April, pregnant by end of May. Grin

sounds like you're in a similar position to me, mine came out on the 27th, 3 days later i had red blood for about 12 hours max, then a week after this i had brown/pink spotting for a day and a half. But nothing for the last 9 days.

Isnt it frustrating having no clue where you are in your cycle? Driving me up the wall. Did you have AF's whilst the coil was in?

I had a bit of spotting whilst it was in but nothing very periody. I'm just doing a bit of general shagging at the moment and hopefully I will know a bit more once I get a proper period. Maybe I'm preg already!??! I did a test the other day and it was negative but never mind!

well im sort of hoping that i may be pregnant already too but keep reminding myself its probably way too early for that and im not that lucky. If my AF does arrive anytime soon though i am going to be devestated as im secretly hoping it stays away until my BFP arrives.

have you had any nausea or head aches since its been removed? ive had nausea for the last 2 weeks every day almost but thinking that could be something to do with the coil coming out?
