Surrogate mums

Has anyone ever been a surrogate mum?? I've always wondered how people do it, reasons why etc??

I have. In simple terms I did it because I know how crushed I would be not to have had my own children, I cope well with pregnancy and the sense of satisfaction from doing it is HUGE.

Oddboots so did you know the family beforehand? I can't help but feel I would have the same satisfaction, but I would like to know why and who I was doing it for, and all for the right reasons?

And how does someone become a surrogate?
