....why is it everyone else seems to fall pregnant really easily? When i am struggling so hard and having to start fertility clinic procedures. Sometimes life can seem unfair.

I know there are people worst off than me but i just needed a moan as have been told that yet another relative is pregnant.

Will shut up now i am just feeling sorry for myself.

natty - am no dear deirdre but i'm certain that babies who are really really wanted grow up to know how loved they are, and consequently turn into really well adjusted people.

so, maybe that is a positive thought for the day :-)

i can't begin to imagine as have found it frustrating on what must be month 3 .. infuriating as go a lifetime trying not to get preg. and some women do get v v smarmy about being pregnant i feel.

Natty know exactly how you feel. I have been ttc for over 12 months and trying all sort of things in the hope that it helps, ie cough syrup, EPO, pre seed, temping, OPK's different positions!?!! Nothing seems to work. Yet others I know get pregnant by pure accident while taking the pill. I to am seeing a gyne, had bloods and HSG. Second apt in Aug, where they said they would give me clomid for 6 months if my bloods show that I am not OV'ing. Just hope that does the trick.

Yeah i have had my bloods done by gp and have appointment at the end of month with fertility clinic as i have low progestrone levels.

Hope you get clomid and it works for you.

I haven't had my blood results back yet so not sure if the reason why I can't conceive is hormone related. My DH has had his test and is also waiting his results. My temp graphs show rises and falls in the right places and I get the smiley face on the OPK to confirm. But have now given up on both of these methods on the advice of the gyne. She said to relax and have regular sex during the cycle (which is very regluar and has been since coming off the pill last July) especially around days 12 - 18. It really put my mind at rest going to see the gyne. When you go make sure you have a list of question to ask because you will forget once you are there!!!

i have been ttc for over two years with dh and 3 years before that with xp. everyone in my family seems to be pregnant and it is so hard but i know when i eventually have my baby it will be so loved and wanted. my dd has even said she will have a baby in her tummy before me !!!! i have been to fertility clinic and just waiting for af to start so i can start taking clomid and am havng my tubes tested in sept good luck

natty it is really hard, I dropped out of the local NCT group, have not visited 3 sets of friends one of whom had twins after IVF because I was so so vulnerable about babies and pregnancy.

I asked about her advice about b'ding. Some say every other day others every day. Is it possible to do it to much??!!!! I even asked her for any top tips that other patients had given her when they got pg.

Ask about what tests they do and when. Will they be testing your DH/DP just to confirm he is in working order. Re-doing your bloods over other cycles. Monitoring whilst having treatment, ie scans both internal and external. The side effects of the treatments. How long you will be having treatment.

Just have a good think before you go so that you are not on put on the spot at the end. Hope you get the answers you want. xxx

thanks, Dp has had his test and is okay. Will try and think up a few like you have suggested i suppose it all depends on what they say and suggest as treament really.

Sallywoo, what is the cough syrup idea? sorry to jump on Natty, just curious.

The brand is robussitin. I got this tip on here and from the "bible" aka toni welchers book taking charge of your fertility. One of the ingredients in this cough syrup is supposed to increase your EWCM. similar to grapefruit juice. neither worker for me in fact the cough syrup gave me an upset tummy!!!?? I find the best think is evening primrose oil in large doses up to ovulation. hth

Was thinking the same thing myself.

FWIw I used the Toni WEschler book last 3 mths, also took robitussin last month, grapefruit juice and evening primrose oil
Plus resumed lovemaking in the doggy style as it worked for Trace and Hopecat and a couple of others.
Also used Isis saliva scope and got dp to do a sperm test bought from internet = results fine
All of the above items will be up for grabs after I pass the 12 wk mark!!!

Thanks for the tips! DH is going to think I am mad! He hasn't clocked me taking my temp before I get out of bed yet but will think I am mad when he does and then if I start taking cough syrup too, he'll be baffled! Sure he'll have no objections to the lovemaking tips though . Think I'll buy that book from Amazon today.
