I have had one cycle since coming off the pill-33 days....in the middle of my first 2ww (currently cd24 and I think 9 or 10dpo)..is hcg dependant on dpo or do you have to wait for your period to be due?

Your HCG levels will depend on the date which the egg implanted as opposed to the date when you actually ovulated.

A fertilised egg can take anywhere between 6-10 days to implant so a woman whose egg implanted at 6dpo would get a BFP earlier than a woman whose egg implanted 2 or 3 days later. As there is no way of knowing when the egg actually implants in general they advise you wait until at least your period as due as it's likely a fertilised egg would have been implanted for a minimum of 4 days by that point, so lots of HCG would be being produced - but hardly anyone on MN actually manages to last that long Smile

I'm cd 26 today and got a bfp!!! (Quite a few as couldn't believe it!) this is the first month I haven't tested early so no idea if it would have showed up earlier! Good luck!!!
