Poundworld tests - the second line isn't as dark as the first - am I pg?

Not sure if I really want to splash out on a more expensive one. So - for those with experience of the cheaper tests, is a line a line?

I used a cheap test and i wasn't pregnant. The box was completely blank so I would say any line is still a line.

If it has no colour it is probably an evap line. I drove myself mad with cheap tests earlier this year.

If there's colour in the line - you can believe it!

It was red like the control line. There were definitely no lines at all before I used the test, and it was in date. The control line was a really dark, rich red. The 'pregnant' line looked like a marker pen that was beginning to run out - still red, but less rich in colour. Is that a positive then? I guess if it is, I'll start feeling sick soon anyway!
