5 weeks and BFN...still chance?

Hello all, I'm completely new here (tried finding this topic elsewhere but my mumsnet navigation skills are still developing, so please feel free to redirect me!)

So, I'm in the usual old situation of not yet knowing, and I feel like I need to ask my own questions before I crash googles search engines...

AF is 9 days late on a 28 day clockwork cycle (26/11 8am). Conception would without doubt have taken place 11/11 or days thereafter depending on his swimmers, which would put me at just about 5 weeks. I did tests 30/11, 3/12, 4/12...all BFN.

I don't have a massive amount of symptoms, or at least I'm not sure if they are? Or am I being paranoid? List here: dull pressure headache during 2WW. only an hour or so of mild cramping day before AF (normally I would feel this all the time a few days before). No AF obviously, but continuous clear/white watery CM. Keep munching all kinds of food without getting too bloated (this is very unusual for me as I have bad IBS and normally have to be super careful with what I eat) it's like my gut feels more relaxed. A pressure/tightness in uterus, similar to AF due but much lighter and more constant. Sneezing when tasting sharp flavours (tic tacs and spicy stuff)!

Now, the question is how long should I wait it out before getting a BFP home test? Or should I just go to the GP and get blood test done? Have heard stories of women who never test positive while definitely being pregnant.. Would love to hear from any late BFPers, or any other advice anyone might have!

I'm trying to tell myself it's nothing, AF will come, but it would be so so so amazing for me and OH! Best present ever as it would have been made on my 30th birthday and it's OH's 40th at Xmas!

Xx

Don't want to burst your bubble but I wouldn't get too excited - I'm currently 3 weeks late! Admittedly my cycles are never that regular but ttc can do funny things to your body. And if you went to the GP I'm pretty sure they'd just tell you to wait unfortunately, in my experience they're not very helpful with these things.

All that said, there is always still a chance until AF arrives, so good luck to you!

I would test if your period is late. I tested when a day late and got a bfp. use a decent test.

You don't mention which tests you are using. Maybe try a frer or superdrug are meant to be good. Must be very frustrating. Good luck and hope you either get your Bfp or your AF soon so you aren't left in limbo.
