of a gen. 28 day cycle? What do you think? Slightly panicking, slightly excited at the thought?? Is it poss. this early?

it certainly sounds possible from things i've read on here and elsewhere

yes it is.
Also sperm can live for 6 days in a friendly environment, so if say as an average you ovulate on day 12-14 of a 28 day cycle, sperm from day 10 could easily get the egg when it was released.

If you have a 10-16 day luteal phase (the normal range) then in a 28 day cycle you'll ovulate somewhere between day 12 and day 18. If you ovulate on day 12 it's very very possible to conceive by having sex on day 10; if you ovulate on day 18 it's very unlikely.

So if you are an early-ish ovulator with a long-ish luteal phase then you could very easily get pregnant.

ooooh! Maybe no. 4 is in the process of being created. Not a disaster, whilst not entirely planned! Sometimes the best way! Now I'll be really disappointed if it's not a BFP!

This baby was concieved on day 10 or there abouts, could even have been day 9.

To say I was shocked at the +ve result would be an understatement!

LTH, am i right in thinking this is your 4th?? Well done by the way. If I am pregnant, I am not sure about the reactions I'll get - esp. given those i had on announcing our 3rd. If we have another next Spring,DS will be almost 6, DD1 4, DD2 will be 2. But the age gaps will work well - even if I am half insane from tiredness!

I have conceived on day 8. It didn't surprise me when my 12 week scan put the baby at a week older than my lmp date suggested because I knew I had ovulated very early that month. On a normal 28 cycle I have also ovulated on day 18.

Yup, I'm almost 25 weeks pregnant now and conceived on day 10 of a 28/29 day cycle. I know it was then because my dh was away on business for a week afterwards, and all my scans have confirmed exactly when she was conceived. I don't think it's that uncommon so good luck!

I usu. post as earthtomummy but used shouldknowbetter as I was slightly embarrassed at having poss. conceived in an entirely unplanned way! There seem to be an awful lot of you conceiving earlier than you'd expect. DH and I are such muppets. We aren't obviously too concerned about another baby or we'd have been more careful...But, saying that I was really sick with both DDs for 40 wks and currently DH is doing an MSc, working full-time, commuting 2 hrs a day and DS may have a dx of Aspergers...Lots going on. I suppose that things pan out and you somehow just extend yourselves to welcome and manage whatever happens. Then I may well not be pg..

i was SO certain it was a girl - i was smug - i was wrong!

I have one Ds and 2 DDs and if a 4th is on its way wouldn't care if itwas boy or girl. Part of me has to admit that I'd like another son, as would DS. I thought DD2 was a boy but I was so cscik we eventually decided it must be another girl and we were right!

earth - i have had another baby since ds3 ( supersperm bab!) and i was sick till 30 weeks with him..............yes i thought it was a girl - he is lovely but not pink!!!
