Neverending period after stopping pill

Two weeks after stopping the pill, my period came, and just kept coming! I have now been bleeding constantly for 23 days. So so fed up and exhausted with it. Has anyone else experienced this? How long did it take to stop? Is there any point in me going to the doctor, or can she only offer me more hormones that will mess up my body even further? Thanks for your help ladies!

Would go to the GP; such bleeding is not normal at all.

I would go to the GP as well, it's not normal to bleed for that long. If nothing else bleeding that long is going to make you anaemic.

hey willitever, I had this a few years ago after coming off the pill and although mine wasn't heavy it went on for a month. I went to the doctor and she checked it wasn't caused by anything else, and said it was normal :S It did stop eventually, but it got pretty boring! And really exhausting :( Hope it clears up soon!
