Hi girls,
Me and my husband have recently suffered a loss :(

After 11months of trying for no.2... We thought we finally got it!

I was 8weeks when I started to bleed :( 3days later after an internal & a scan, a complete miscarriage was confirmed.

I've now stopped bleeding, thankfully.
Me and hubs have decided to start ttc again right away, we both think it will help us get around this tough time.

Midwife has said to get cracking as soon as we feel ready!

I just wondered what you have all done/decided to do?

How far after your MC did you start trying?
How far after did you get pregnant?
And how are you so 'fertile' after a MC?

Xxx

Hi kelly I had a MMC in June at 10 weeks and had an ERPC. I was ready (actually I was desperate!!) to start trying again and so we did as soon as the bleeding stopped. My cycles went a bit bananas afterwards - took three months for my AF to return and the next cycle was also quite long (45days). I did conceive the third cycle but sadly that too has just ended in another MMC at 8 weeks - which I understand to be unusually bad luck but we will be trying again.

I wish you all the very best of luck and so sorry for your loss.

Sorry about your loss.

We had a mc after two years of trying. It was about two months before we started trying again, I needed to be ready emotionally (and for the bleeding to stop). It took just a couple of months, so yes, way quicker than before. I'm now 31 weeks pregnant.

I hope you get your bfp soon.

Sorry for your loss Kelly, I had a mc a year and a half ago, had one af then got pregnant the following month, sadly I did mc again but like yourself was keen to get on and as soon as the bleeding stoped we did and got pregnant straight away, dd2 is now 6months Grin whether the mc or first pregnancy made me more fertile I'm not sure but something did as it had taken 18 months to conceive dd1!

Thanks kittykatsforever :)

This is another thing that's driving me insane...
Are you more likely to MC again falling pregnant immeditly after a MC?!!

My midwife And dr say to crack straight on and try again ifwefeel ready...
I've read so much on it and its prob in 55/45favour of waiting a month to conceive again because your more likely of MC again!!

But hearing it from my own dr.. I trust him... But no freaking out!
Feel like calling him and saying " are u really sure I'm ok to crack straight on!?"

Mehhhh xxxx

I was told that having one miscarriage makes you no more likely to miscarriage than someone who has never miscarried. It's really hard to believe when you next get pregnant but worth remembering. Even if you mc again (I hope you don't) then there's still only a slightly higher chance you'll miscarry again. That's why they'll only ever test after three miscarriages.

I was led to understand that there's no reason, physically, why you shouldn't start ttc again straight away. It just makes it harder to work out due date and you can get a false positive if you haven't completed your mc.

O I'm glad were on the same page here eeyoreish!

A completed miscarriage was confirmed to me last Wednesday. She told me yesterday morning to take a HPT in 1.5/2weeks to make sure it's negitive. So have ordered some tests, may test earlier!

I'm very ready to be trying again, it's keeping our minds positive and off the horrible ordeal.. Although we will never forget, and every year on July 10th (due date that was)... ill probability have a cheeky tear and always imagine "What if..."

Xxx

We marked the due date by planting a cherry tree in the garden, it's lovely to see something positive grow from a sad memory.

Good luck with your ttc. x
