Pregnant? or residual HCG 2 1/2 months after miscarriage?

I had a miscarriage 2 1/2 months ago. It was a 'missed miscarriage' so baby stopped developing at 6 weeks but I didn't actually miscarry until 10 weeks. I bled for 3 weeks. A month ago I had a minor bleed but it was nothing like my normal period, more like old deep red blood. Because we were worried about retained products of conception, I had a scan and whilst they found that I was bleeding internally, the results came back with everything normal. I've not had a normal period since my miscarriage.

Its between 2 and 2 1/2 months since the miscarriage bleeding stopped. This morning I did a pregnancy test and whilst the line was very very faint, there was a line present. I never had any tests done to check that my HCG levels returned to zero after the miscarriage. And never had a D&C or anything, they just let my body do its thing.

I'm so damn scared to get my hopes up that I could be pregnant again. Is it possible that the test is reading residual HCG levels?? Or that the test was wrong?

I didn't want to read and run- not an expert but I'd say any residual hCG would have left your system by now. Maybe wait until tomorrow (if you can!) and POAS again. All call your GP for advice. FX for you

Call your GP, they can do blood tests 48 hours apart to see if your HCG levels are rising. Good luck, let us know how you get on Thanks
