Sorry if this is a bit long and tmi but I would love some advice

I had a mirena coil out in July and have been ttc number 3 since then. Last week AF came 5 days early, at first I thought it was implantation bleeding as I have never been early but it became quite heavy with clots although it only lasted 3-4 days and I didn't have any pain or cramps then last Thursday the day my AF was due I had an afternoon of bright red bleeding which then stopped. I assumed I had just had a strange cycle but have been feeling really weird like pmt hadn't gone away so I took a hpt on sat which was quite a strong positive and another one today also positive and I am def feeling a bit pregnant.

So my question is, is it possible to be pregnant after heavy bleeding with clots? Could it have been a chemical pregnancy and still be testing positive a week later?Could it be an eptopic pregnancy? I feel quite worried and can't see a doctor until Tuesday and don't know what he would do anyway, any ideas??

A chemical pregnancy would not normally give a strong positive, especially a week later, so I think you can rule that one out.

An ectopic, normally has dark prune juice bleeding, so the bright red and lack of pain is hopeful, that ectopic is unlikely.

Heavy bleeding with clots can occur in pregnancy, and does not always mean something wrong with the pregnancy.

I think you can be cautiously optomistic. As you are indeed pregnant, and I want to congratulate you on your pregnancy. A trip to the early pregnancy unit might be able to reassure you, but they will not be able to do anything, and even a scan might be unreliable at this time.

If you get shoulder tip pain, or dark bleeding then go to A&E immediately. Otherwise, go to EPU when you feel up to it.

Congrats
