When is the best day to dtd

Hey ladies my cycle is 28 days mostly to the day this month I am not using OPKs because they add to my aggro and cost a fortune anyway cm and 28 day cycle indicate ov on Monday. Dh is near demented and in pain and on a couple of occasions hasn't been able to perform under the pressure. So my question is if I can't convince dh to dtd sun and mon what day would be best? Sun so the swimmers are present or on the day of expected ov? Would have to be mon pm and I over think it by assuming the egg will be defunct by then. Crickey what a worrier I am!!!

If u think ovulation might be Monday I would suggest today/ tom and Monday.

Best is 3 days before day before and day of ovulatio. Hope that helps.

Is there anyway you can not tell him it's ov day so he won't feel the pressure?

Hey thanks for that babyrose we will just have to buckle down and get on with it! to be honest honeybear we have been dtd roughly every other night for 4 months and its just become a bit much for him I think it's just got boring and its not sexy!!

We had sex ever other day of the month from day 10 in my cycle, when I got the positive opk I had sex three days in a row skipped a day and then had sex on the following day. This is a simplified version of the smep (sperm meets egg plan) good luck.

Mumtoacub - this way worked for us on our first try of that plan, although we had been trying 6 months previous. Good luck :)

Thanks cookielove I'm in cycle 7 now and fretting a bit it's hard to keep calm but advice like yours definitely keeps me focused. I am cd 12 now dtd today and will hopefully do the same up to tues after that I can relax a bit (I decided not to buy OPKs this month and just relax this obviously hasn't worked and I wish I had got them now)

I used cheapo opk's from wilko's, I tested between 4-6 pm depending on what shift I was on :)

Cookielove, I would like to try your plan but not sure if my DH's sperm is up to it! Do you know about your partner's sperm? We have been ttc for 6 months with DC3 and my DH recently had sperm test and is on the low- average side for motility. So his GP suggested dtd every 3 days throughout my cycle, I guess to build up the sperm quantity and I'm worried it would be too dilute ifkwim if we did it every day around ov?

London sorry I have no idea about dh's sperm quality.You could try it for a month just to see if it works. Also have you thought about boosting both of your fefertility, I heard Brussels sprouts are great for both sexes. Pineapple for women. I'm sure there is loads others.
