I've just been searching the App Store for a good fertility tracking app and noticed that a lot of them seem to suggest times you would be more likely to conceive a boy or girl. Does it really work like that?
I won't be downloading those as I really don't care and don't even want to think about it, any baby will do thanks! I just wondered if there's any science behind it? And you're the galls who'd know Grin

I really don't think so the fittest sperm will reach the egg first its as simple as that. Although I haven't researched it I'm pretty sure it's a lot of crap

You can't influence it much. The shettles method for instance is nonsense. There is some current research suggesting that you can slightly increase the odds of having a girl by dtd on the day of conception, but it's all uncertain. See 'the impatient woman's guide to getting pregnant' for this info, there's something about small influences from diet too.

I agree with mumtoacub. Any ideas that you can influence it either way is nonsense. It's the sperm that is male or female and it just depends which gender fertilises the egg.
