I had some blood tests done recently and I wondered if anyone could tell me what this means. I had the blood test on day 20 of my cycle.

Thanks Smile

Did they test any other hormone levels?.
Who ordered the tests to be done?. If it was the GP I'd be asking for a referral now to a hospital's subfertility unit; some GPs do mess around with such tests in ignorance.

They should have looked at your progesterone level instead around day 20.

FSH is usually tested at the start of the cycle (day 2) together with LH (luteinising hormone) as well. LH and FSH are two very important hormones because they kickstart the ovulation process.

Thanks for the response. Have stupidly left my results at a friends house tonight so can't look at others right now.

I was meant to get tested on day 3 but proved impossible - first month day 3 fell on a Saturday and second month I was away (AF came early)...

My endocrinologist consultant ordered the tests - they tested for everything - thyroid, cortisol, as well as bone, cholesterol, lots of things. We skimmed over these particular results though as there were other bits to talk about and I sort of discounted them as it was done on day 3.

So you think I need to pursue this?

Have fallen pregnant twice before (termination and mmc) very easily (one DTD each time) but have had a feeling it won't happen again easily...
