Arghh ! I am sooooo broody ! We have a dd together who's 2 and I have a ds who's 6 from a previous relationship but who dp has looked after since he was 1.

I would love another one but dp is worried about money, I think he would like another one but thinks we can't afford another.

I am trying to work as hard as I can to accumulate enough money to convince him :)

Hoooo that's better, haven't really talked about it to anyone except dp, and he's stressed with work at the moment so haven't mentioned it for ages. I think he wants to see how money goes next year, but I know we make enough money , I'm in charge of the finances !!

i think men worry way too much about that stuff, personally i dont think babies are as expensive as everyone makes out and iv had 2 (ttc no.3!) u have 9 whole months to buy the whole cot/pram/car seat set up - do you have any things from your other 2 that could be used again or did you get rid of them al like i did?! ha.

What form of contraception are u using atm?

It's not about what you won't have new car, holidays etc it's about what you will have...

Well that's what I keep telling my DH. Men and money!

I think it's less about the short term finances like cot, pram, but more like the longer term things men worry about. Such as forking out for 3 weddings, potentially a bigger number of grandchildren, the possibility of 3 university fees….etc etc. I'd love 3 or even 4, but my DH is very adamant that it's huge difference on every level and would affect our finances particular towards our retirement package etc etc because of the extra drain! There you go! That tells me! I sort of agree with him, but love the thought of a house full of kids!
It's a difficult one!

3 teenagers taking over your sofa at the weekend and eating you out of house and home! Xxx

prettywhiteguitar · 27/11/2013 22:32

Oh yes with dp it's not now he's worried about but in. 5-10 years time.

I think though it's because I've just been back at work for a year and he's worried because it was a strain on our finances last time I was pregnant.

I am getting more 'paper work ' at home kind of work now so I think I can persuade him :)

I'd love a busy house with chaos and kids everywhere
