Conception dates and how wrong they can be?

Hi this wasn't something that hadn't crossed my mind until recently as I was just going by the dates I'd been given.

Going by my LMP and both scan measurements my due date has always been the same (11/12/13)
This puts conception at around 20th March, give or take a couple of days people say.

I fell pregnant when I was single which isn't ideal but I knew I had fallen in love with the man at the time and so we just looked forward to it.

The issue comes because in the February I had been seeing 2 people. One man that I had been close with for about a year dating etc but was not rushing into anything after leaving a long relationship and my current partner.

At the point where I met my current partner things had started to fizzle out with the other bloke and it was obvious it was a matter of time before we should stop seeing each other.

Date wise I met him to say we should stop seeing each other on the 7th March and the last time we slept together was a couple of weeks before that.

I came on on the 6th March and had done a test a few days before coming on which was negative.

Looking at it there was at least a 3/4 week gap between conception and me sleeping with the other bloke.

My big question is if baby was to come early could that mean all my due dates, conception dates and measurements were wrong or is it just time for her to arrive a bit earlier?

Any advice would help a lot, Thanks.

I think you're safe! Two scans, a period, and a BFN before your period all point to her being conceived when you think she was. At your first scan at 12 weeks, if she had only measured for 8 or 9 weeks they would have been v concerned so you would have found out about it then if your dates were all wrong!

Yes, i would say you are safe, scan measurements in the first trimester are reliable for dating. If the baby comes earlier it doesn't mean the conception date was different. It is normal for babies to arrive between 37 and 42 weeks.

Thank you!!

I do think I'm safe, I think baby brain was just getting me all over the place and worried. Hopefully she comes on time and have no worries at all.
