Been trying for eleven months for number two. Starting to worry. AF due tomorrow but it's often been early. My books hurt. I'm not going to test until Wednesday because I'll only upset myself. Anyone want to kill time with me?

Hi Champagne, I will certainly hold your hand and provide you with some cake...whatever the result! I have just found out cycle no.5 ttc number 2 hasn't worked so I will join you in eating the cake. I agree don't test until wednesday, see what happens before then. I really really hope you get your BFP. How old is your DC?

Grin Thank you! Obviously it's my boobs rather than my books hurting! DS1 is 17 months. Last month was our last hope of a gap of less than two years so I was a bit emotional.

Ah the age gap thing is horrible. I'm looking more and more likely to have an age gap of 3 years or more, which I never wanted. Its horrible watching your DC grow up wondering why oh why you can't give them a sibling. Hmm I did wonder what you meant but thought it probably wasn't books!!! Have you had any other symptoms this month?

Well this month I gave myself a bit of a break, no temps or ovulation sticks. And we only DTD about 4 times. I mainly think I'm in with a shot because it would result in an August baby which I really don't want (I'm an August baby and I think it sucks!) I'm assuming that fate will be perverse. Also it would mean that I couldn't drink over Xmas but I also couldn't tell anyone why. Basically it would be the worst month possible! No AF as yet....

Sorry LucyJojo about your age gap problem. It really is painful isn't it? How old is your LO? Sending you good vibes for this month though.

Day 27. No AF yet. Usually a 26 to 27 day cycle...

Ooh Champagne, really hope you get your BFP this time.Have you tested yet today? Would be wonderful if fate worked liked that wouldn't it! My DD was 2 a few weeks ago, I really wanted a 2.5 year age gap, and would have liked a spring baby. As DD was born in november it was a long dark winter to be cooped up in the house! I do want 3 or 4 children, so this is just so painful wondering if I will ever get it. How long did it take you to conceive DS? We conceived DD in just the second month of trying.

Lucyjojo I was similar. DS only took three months and I suppose I kinda assumed that these things just happened and so it was reasonable to make plans.

Still the fat lady hasn't sung just yet. I may test again in the next couple of days if nothing else happens.

It's just an early test like the First Response ones, they're more sensitive so might pick it up if 'normal' ones aren't...?

Hello - I picked up a couple of poundland ones this morning and tested but BFN. Of course it wasn't the first wee of the morning so that may have had an effect. No AF yet either though.

I think I'm a day late but they've been really irregular since my DS was born. They've not been this far apart before though. The test was 20hcg (?). Thanks for all the crossed fingers.

Pee in a pot with your fmu, then if there is a faint you can retest later with a frer

This is ridiculous. POAS this morning first thing. Invalid result. Then tried again and BFN. Which I would accept but still no AF and boobs like watermelons. I just want an answer dammit!!

oh dear. What is your longest cycle ever? Do your boobs normally hurt when AF coming? Looks like your just going to have to hold off until tomorrow fmu again. Are you using a FRER?

I had this in the summer. Overnight my boobs went huge and I was convinced I was pregnant as this was the giveaway that I was pregnant with my others. I did loads of tests, all were negative and I got really distressed. I wasn't pregnant, and my period came eventually! Horrible feeling.

Loveyouthree yep just the same. AF turned up today when I had decided I definitely must be pregnant. My body is clearly completely fucked. I've gone from a 19 to a 29 day cycle. Fucking ridiculous. Thank you all for being lovely and supportive. Off to have a little cry.

Have a cry, but then think to yourself, at least you now know 100%.
And a 29 day cycle sounds much more "average", so maybe it's a good thing?

The fact that you're upset may indicate that really, you do want a fourth? If you think you do then there's always next month!
