stupid question about menstrual cups

I feel really silly asking this but do u put them in after dtd?

No. There's no point. The good swimmers get fired straight through the cervix and use CM to "climb up". It's the dead ones and the carrier fluid that fall out and that you would catch in a cup (and in any event a cup sits several inches too low to be of any use).

There is a method of home insemination where you use a SoftCup and leave it in... But if you're dtd I wouldn't bother. Research says you don't need to put your legs in the air or any such nonsense. As the PP said, the good swimmers are well on their way already!

So…should we lie down for a bit after dtd or not. I know what you mean about the swimmers, but surely the more still in there the better?

I've heard of a few people doing this and getting a bfp.

Hi allchat, how have u been? I try to to just lay for a bit, half an hour or so.

I actually do because I have a retroverted cervix (tilted cervix) so I figure as it's harder for them to get there, any little thing helps! Plus you can place them higher up, nearer the cervix. Don't know if it will help but I figure it can't hurt so why not?

I may give it a go see what happens it certainly can't hurt!

Hey Babyrose. I'm ok. Still hanging in there. Saying a little pray every month. Can't seem to crack if. Dtd at the right times but maybe not enough! Getting majorly bored!!
