New thread. Welcome back to all the regulars. Welcome to all the newbies - please come and join us if you are IVFing or thinking about. The regulars are a mine of information at this point!

Do you realise that this will take us through a year of egg buddy threads? I believe Karbea started the last one around Xmas time last year for those cycling in 2013 and I immediately jumped on it as I was about to start my first cycle in January. Blimey.

bugs think I will start jabbing NYE, going to ring nurse today and check all ok to start! Fingers crossed that 2014 is a lucky number for usSmile

stars I did chuckle at bubbie Xmas Grin

Thank you all so much for advice.

fab I think I will feel the same once I get stabbing, it's a means to an end and a step in the right direction! It's the morning ones from day 5 that worry me as you have to mix them, more pressure before work in the morning!

hat fingers crossed for you too. I had major meltdown a few weeks back, 2 days in a row when I found out about some relatives younger than me who are pg, life can sometimes feel very unfair.

One more question, ref injections, do you jab/stab or does the needle just sink in if you hold it against the skin?

starsandmoonandback · 30/12/2013 09:24

Bunny, I started off holding it like a dart, counting to 3 and then jabbed! You need to do it with some determination as it can bounce off the skin and blunt the needle if you do it too lightly! I've done that a couple of times! Are you injecting in tummy or thighs? Give yourself a bit more time in the morning for the first few days, but I reckon after that you'll be fine with mixing up the vials and be faster Grin

Hat, can understand the need for a private cry. It's hard to remain 'strong' and positive 'all' the time, isn't it? Looks like you, me and Bunny are all stimming around the same time. Fingers crossed for all if us.

Fab, hi Smile Where are you at now? Ive missed so much and trying to catch up slowly! Thanks for the tip about being hydrated and having bloods done. I have had a couple of times when they've not been able to get any! Confused So I'll remember that!

Hi to everyone else on this wet morning!! Smile

Bunnygirlie · 30/12/2013 15:19

Hello!

Just spoken to my FC nurse and it's all go for tomorrow Shock

stars will be stabbing in my tummy! Thanks for the advice.

Yay bug you go girl, hope it is easy peasy for me too!

Pipbin · 30/12/2013 18:25

Hi ladies, I've not been around much because I've been putting it all to the back of my mind.
Still, I need a little bit of advice now.

I started down regging on day 21 of my cycle which was the 12th. 7 days later I had a bleed, proper full period bleed. Slightly heavier than normal but nothing unusual.

About 2 days ago I started to get a little bit of brown spotting. Today it is proper red blood, not much, nothing to need more than a panty liner really. I called the clinic who said that they'll not it and we can discuss it further when I have my baseline scan on Friday.

I didn't have this last time, this is my second round, anyone else have this or have any advice?

Pipbin · 30/12/2013 18:27

Just read back through a little of the thread, bunny all systems go, so exciting. The jabs are easy. I just push it in slowly, it really doesn't hurt.

eurochick · 30/12/2013 18:45

Sorry pip, I've got no ideas on that one. I didn't get past the downregging when I tried LP. I hope the clinic have some answers.

bugs you are on the way! And bunny will very soon be joining you.

Hello everybody. Congrats Bugs on the first injection - it's not so bad, is it? Pipbin - I am one day behind you on the DRing cos I started injecting on 13th. I didn't get my period until Christmas Day, but it has been even more heavy and painful than usual. I'm still bleeding and expect I still will be on 2nd when I have my scan. I'm sorry I don't have any advice as to why you've had a second bleed but try not to worry and hope it has stopped now. X

Bunnygirlie · 30/12/2013 19:55

Hey pip my lovely! I wondered how you were.

Another question, AF started yesterday afternoon so was counting today as day 1 but AF seems to have petered off, does that matter do you think?

Hatteras · 30/12/2013 20:05

Bunny, Stars, glad to have some cycle buddies! Pip, looks like you are also cycling about the same time too?

Bunny - if today was the first day of normal/heaviest flow then I think that would count as day1 , not yesterday, but not 100% sure. Maybe check with the clinic to be totally sure?

Fabuluce · 30/12/2013 21:00

Well done Bugs and good luck to Bunny - we had to mix drugs too but our mixers were all in the evening which gave us some a bit of a better time frame but I must admit that my DH dealt with all the stabbing stuff - that was his job!

Hey Stars welcome back! I'm ok thanks :) Not sure if you know but sadly my wonderful Dad passed away at the end of Nov but weirdly it feels like he's still with us so Christmas was full of laughter and stories of him and lots of cheers-ing which was lovely. Mum is in hospital now though so we're hoping that she's going to be ok. I've delayed my next round tip hopefully around March/April time so I'm just lurking these days with occasionally delurks for encouragement and comments :)

twinklestar2 · 30/12/2013 22:12

Good luck bugs and bunny. Well done on the stabbing bugs, my OH did all mine for me, I dint think I could've done it myself!

Welcome back pip, good luck for round 2.

Thinking of you res and euro.

Waves to everyone else!

resipsa · 31/12/2013 09:26

Hi everyone. Happy New Year!

Bad news from here. Had scan today at 7 weeks and uterus was empty. Felt like a fraud, as if I'd made up the pregnancy!

Now awaiting blood results to see if 2 weeks worth of spotting was indeed a miscarriage or it's ectopic (really hope not).

Hope the rest of you are faring better.

eurochick · 31/12/2013 09:30

I made the injection prepping Mr euro's job too.

res I am so, so sorry. How bloody awful. I really hope it is not ectopic too. When do you expect the blood results?

MotorcycleMama · 31/12/2013 09:39

De-lurking just to say I'm so sorry to hear your news resipsa Flowers. It must be awful to believe you've finally cracked it and then get such a disappointment. I wish you all the best with whatever you decide to do next.

resipsa · 31/12/2013 09:48

Thanks both. Results this pm so not long to wait. Sitting at work calculating dates for possible FET to distract myself. Got two frosties so hope 2014 will be a better year.

Oh dear, think I am about to cry at work - thankfully not many in!

Motor - hope all going well with your pregnancy.

Euro - all the best for 3/1.

Bunnygirlie · 31/12/2013 10:22

Oh res so sorry to read your news, hugs and Flowers

Bunnygirlie · 31/12/2013 10:28

hat yay to some cycle buddies Smile

fab and twink your other halves did the injections, wow, might have to persuade mine to do it as I struggle to rip off my own plasters lol

Well AF seems to have stopped so I didn't get a whole day of full flow yesterday, (i had half day pm sunday and half day am monday) hope it's still ok to start jabbing this evening though.

BrookerC · 31/12/2013 11:06

Oh res I am so sorry. I can't believe you've managed to go into work. Huge respect. Hope you get that blood result soon & it's the right one. Big squeeze. x

Fabuluce · 31/12/2013 11:12

Oh Res lovely, I'm so sorry to hear your news, how devastating for you. I'm amazed you made it into work, can you at least leave early? Big hugs xx

Bunny I think it's nice to have your OH do the drugs bit as it keeps them involved in it all plus they get to absorb a bit of the tension and all you have to do is offer up your tum for stabs. It is therefore actively taking stress away from you so a good thing surely Wink

Fabuluce · 31/12/2013 11:13

Hey Motor, how are you doing??

MotorcycleMama · 31/12/2013 11:36

Hi fab, I'm very well thank you. 29 weeks pregnant and still amazed and very grateful for my good fortune. How are you doing?

Hi also to brooker and anybody else I have been acquainted with here. I do try to keep up as this thread is dear to my heart, but try to keep my input to a minimum!

BrookerC · 31/12/2013 11:44

Hello lovely motor. 29 weeks - my goodness! I am chuffed to bits for you & Mr Motor. It's fab that you are still lurking - we miss you! Are you still in touch with nomaybe & prammy or whatever her new name is!!! ?

MotorcycleMama · 31/12/2013 11:58

fab I got a PM from juicy/pram today actually, which was nice, though that was the first contact I have had since leaving this thread. Last I heard (a couple months ago now) nomaybe was doing well. I think we all disappeared onto different threads, with me on the pregnant IVF worriers/warriors thread. What are you up to at the moment? You having a break from treatment or in the middle of a cycle? I just tried to read back quite a way but couldn't see where you are at. I hope all is as well as can be expected.
