Should I test???

Need either talked into or out of poas tomorrow!!! I'm on CD36 and still no AF, last month it came on cd28 but pre-contraception it averaged around 30+ days - so either way it's late but I've had all the horrendous symptoms of PMT, just no bleeding yet! I keep thinking it's about to arrive but no sign... Had the most horrendous headaches and been quite dizzy & nauseous last couple days....
Can't decide whether to hold off or just do it??!!! Help!

Hi!! Similar boat to you. CD28 tomorrow, TTC 2nd month after having mirena removed. Been having similar symptoms to pms sore back, bloated tummy, light headed. Equally don't know if I'm looking for things because I so want a BFP!

Are you going to hold out a bit longer? I keep telling myself the longer I leave it the more likely it's true - feel like I'll be tempting fate in a way by doing it now! With some previous cycles being around 34 days I'm still convinced AF is going to arrive any minute :( it's never been as long as 36 days tho... It's only my second month of ttc some never thought I could be this lucky....

Arrrr 2nd month too!! We really are in a similar boat!! Were you on the pill before? I was for 8yrs and then planning in advance I changed to the coil to give my body a chance to get rid of the hormones! I may do a test tomorrow as I'm due to have a friend this weekend and I'm sure the plan is to have a few drinks so I'd rather know! If you get a test that detect 10ml (early test) you should have a reliable test as early as one day after a late AF. I know what you mean - half of me is excited and the other half is telling myself that the odds of being caught lucky in only the second month I should remain logical!!!

I was on Microgynon until 2010 and came off to give my body a rest, just went back on it start of last year so thought my cycles would regulate quite quickly - the 28 day AF last month completely took me by surprise as it was too early for me which is why I'm finding it hard to believe I've managed to conceive this month!! I thought id missed ovulation too as all opk's came up negative! I think I need to test to put my mind at rest... Where do u get the early ones? I read it's best to test 1st thing in the am - that right? x

I have bought early ones off eBay - I branded but reliable according to reports. I think clear blue do the early ones and you should be able to get them from supermarkets/chemists.

If you read the box look for ones that say 10mlU/ml. (Smaller unit of the hormone you are testing for in the sample) I have had some that say 20mlU/ml so need more of the hormone to get a positive result.

The first thing in the morning is best for the concentration of the hormone you are testing for, but if you're pregnant it will be there any time of day good luck and be sure to let us know!!!

Will look that out, thanks! I'm still convinced I'll wake up to AF tho, the cramps have been too strong to not be menstrual! I did notice I wasn't particularly moody this month though, which was odd ;)

Well couldn't wait any longer! Now 7 days late but got a BFN :( if it hasn't arrived in a couple more days I'll test again coz I have never in my 28 years had a period this late with all the symptoms!!

So sorry to hear about your BFN. It could be that it's still early.......as you say if no AF in a few days I would be testing again! Don't be disheartened!! Your BFP will arrive.....

If I was pg though id be 3-4 weeks by now so surely that's enough for a +? I don't feel like AF is about to arrive anymore tho, it's messing with me! It'll prob come right out the blue now when I'm not expecting it!!
