Grapefruit juice

Has anybody tried grapefruit juice when TTC?

I've read some positive things on the net and am thinking of giving it a go.

Are you supposed to take from AF until ovulation or all month?

I tried it once but I really think it was the fact that you are taking in more liquids and producing more ew. I started drinking alot more water and that made just as much as a difference.

I took it as well for a couple of months, starting before ovulation and stopping after, but it made no difference compared to the months I didn't take it. It's supposed to increase ewcm, but as babyrose said, it's probably more the fluids that do it. If you take any meds, make sure they don't react with grapefruit.

Thanks babyrose.

Did it work for you or do you believe generally increasing liquid intake helped?

I am now drinking nothing but water all day anyway.

Also do you know how many glasses a day you should drink?

You should aim for 1.5 to 2 litres of water / fluids a day including juice but not including tea / coffee. herbal teas count. Apparently the grapefruit juice works better if it's unsweetened.

Your welcome, I do believe because I started drinking lots of water that helped me.
