Right so coming off pill next month and then beginning the long slog ttc - other than folic acid and figuring out over the next couple of months - is there anything else mind blowingly obvious I should do ! I have had the pill since 17 then in the middle did 2 implants and then decided to go back on the pill last year when I got married so that we could decide to have a baby whenever we wanted (a little bit more romantic than - hang on Hun just need to go to the docs and get this rod out lol) periods have always been clockwork on implant and pill so hoping they stay that way! Any pearls of wisdom ladies - - am shocked in how much I have no idea lol! Xx

Hiya

I would say to have a think about the approach you want to take to TTC. So either the 'go with the flow' tact and just DTD whenever and don't put too much pressure on yourselves or whether you want to track your cycle/use ovulation sticks etc and target your DTD. I guess it depends on your nature but the tracking option worked for me as I wanted to know what was happening in my cycle and when to really go for it!! There is a good app called Fertility Friend that I used and you can get all types of ovulation sticks off eBay.

I have also heard that it takes awhile for your cycle to come back to 'norm' after the pill so you might need to bear that in mind at the start.

Also I would switch to decaf drinks and watch the alcohol. Also if you want to loose any weight/get fit do it now!

Good luck!!
