Cramps and brown discharge-help!

Hi all looking for some advice. My husband and I have been ttc #1 for about a year. My cycle has been between 27 and 33 days. I have brown spotting when I wipe today and some cramps here and there. My period is due roughly in the next few days. Googled it and seems to be different responses to this.

Does anyone have any advice or information on this?! Trying not to get hopes up just in case.

Ttc seems to effect cycles (not just when you get BFP) brown discharge and cramping for me has now become the standard start to AF, which wasn't the case when I started ttc.

FX this is different for you but I'm afraid it's just a waiting game.

Am keeping my fingers crossed for you that it could be implantation bleeding. I had this with dd1 - thought it was all over, but then it stopped. It was always just brown (old blood) and not loads. Good luck OP. Xx

Thanks for your help with that. I am so impatient and can't cope with the waiting! But don't want to get my hopes up too soon and then get a negative. Argh. I have never had the brown discharge before when af due. It's always been a couple of days of red blood spotting and then period. This seems different this time. Not sure if I'm trying to convince myself that I am pg though!

Will just need to suck it up and wait!

Hi, not sure if it will help but I read a post on another website from a natural fertility expert on how to tell when you are fertile, it detailed what happens to your body including discharges. Thanks for that. I have had a bit of red blood today that was like a clot and not much else. Tested too early and got bfn! Think I'm going to have to chill out and see what each day brings! Ach well.

So after 3 days of brown discharge, I was all set to head to see my gp this morning. However it seems that AF has appeared this morning.

Still feel a bit weird but will just need to see how today goes if it definately is AF. thanks for all your replies. Maybe next time

Butler -that happened to me about 3-4 cycles ago and it was torture because it never happens to me either. I spent 2 days praying it was some kind of weird implantation blood and then bang AF arrives full flow. I second another post in that our bodies do such cruel things when we are ttc. It's so hard to ignore all the little aches and oddities that happen though. Good luck on your next cycle x

Thanks for that, you are right it's so cruel isn't it. Has actually helped me in a way. After seeing myself so worked up I have really realised that I just need to relax and not get so worked up about it and just let my body get on with it. My husband has been so great too.

Not the outcome I had hoped for but it's good to know either way. Next time maybe!
