Ive recently had a laparascopy and a hysteroscopy which are clear. I suffer from bleeding on and off between periods. My periods are moving later and later each month. Was told that my hormones are unbalanced but that if i want to ttc i should. Does anyone have the same problem? Should i be worried? Ive bought a persona to see if i am ovluating not sure if it will work. Im really confused and my GP fobs me off. Am i worrying about nothing? Also is there anything i can do suplament wise to try and get my hormone levels right? Sorry if TMI!!

angelcake,

Were you talked to at some length about the results of the lap and the hysteroscopy?.

If you are not already under the care of a gynae you should be seeing such a person to get a diagnosis. I would look into seeking a second opinion from another gynaecologist.

You were told that your hormones are not in balance?. By whom?. Has anyone medical suggested a blood test to assess your hormone levels properly, this should be done as a matter of course. If you have a blood test done the level of LH should be compared to that of FSH. Ideally these two should be the same; an imbalance can be indicative of hormonal imbalances.

Think you have been fobbed off by your GP. If you have the opportunity would speak to another GP in the practice and insist on a referral to a gynae.

Persona will not be of any real benefit to you if your cycles are lengthening like this. If you are one of many women who is producing a higher than average level of LH then the kit will measure this excess level.

Do not self medicate with any supplements particularly agnus castus. I say this as such things can make hormonal problems worse. If you really want to do this (and I would suggest you get a firm diagnosis first off) seek out a qualified medical herbalist.

Hi Attilla

i saw consultant at local hospital and he told me thickning was caoused by hormones being unbalanced. Too much estrogen i think. He said they would not give me blood lests to see if they definately were unbalanced until i had been trying to conceive for longer than a year. It seems funny that they have left me with nothing exept telling me if i want to ttc i should, and then see what happens. I am trying to get myself inshape for getting pregnant but im worried its not gonig to happen.
