Does anyone else have a really long cycle naturally?

Mine is 42 days, always has been. I'm finding it quite frustrating because after one miscarriage it really limits the number of tries (8 a year instead of 12) . Also when I went to the doctor they wouldn't believe me and were trying to calculate my previous pregnancy from the first day of my last period which puts them more than two weeks out ( I get my period 12 days after I ovulate) . I'm just finding it frustrating medical professionals know so little, and also don't give two shits when you miscarry.

So sorry to hear of your mc. My cycle is long at 32 days, and yes, if you don't do 28 days as the text book says they know very little.

My cycle is about six weeks. Always has been, although there was a time in my mid twenties when it was months at a time.

When I fell pregnant the midwife tried to calculate my dates on the little wheel and asked me when my last period was, I said about eighteen months ago and she just looked at me and said, "that's not gonna work on my wheel."

Still, I always thought I couldn't have children naturally and that turned out not to be true, so there is hope.

My cycles are irregular although on average tend to be between 42-47 days, it has been known to be 83 days! I too had a MC, sept 13, Totally understand how you feel on both counts.
However I do tend to ovulate at the beginning of the month regardless of what my period does which iv only recently realised. The cycle I got pregnant with my MC I ovulated on day 24, which seemed a total mystery to my GP!

Wtkt: yes, mine are 37 days - feels like forever when TTC! I'm on cycle 6 now, really hope it happens for me soon!

Mine vary, longest has been 47 days, shortest 31 days, they seem to be getting more and more regular now though.

Mine have been long after coming off the pill. Ovulation has been between cd25 and cd28 so far. Don't know if there is an underlying problem though, so I'm getting my progesterone checked to see if I'm ovulating. My GP thinks its normal that some women have longer cycles and thinks there's nothing wrong. Even though long cycles are frustrating because you don't have as many goes a year, if you're ovulating that at least means you have the chance to get pregnant! So yes, it's not ideal, but if apart from the long cycles everything works fine, then that's really good.
