Very very very faint 2nd line

So, I have had some random pg symptoms. We weren't trying and in fact used condoms the 2 times we actually managed sex.
Anyway, I just feel like I might be pg, sex was around 6-8 weeks ago..
Have done several cheapy tests, all look neg at first glance but if I hold them up to the light and squint (and stand on one leg lol) then I can see the faintest of faint lines.

Am I going mad?!!

A second line means positive.

Are you sure you can see it though?

Don't keep testing now. Wait until tomorrow morning when your wee is strong again and have another test.

Congrats if you are though!

VeryFaint · 14/11/2013 10:40

Well, I can just about see it. I did some tests last week and a few more this week. The line has hardly changed in that time. God knows what's going on?!

It would be my 4th DC if I was, I don't really want to be pg right now but would accept it if I was eek.

Anyone else have a similar experience and turn out to be pg?

I am 5 weeks and still getting very faint lines on an internet cheapies but a 2-3 week on a clearblue and very strong lines on a FRER. Perhaps try a different test with FMU?

VeryFaint · 14/11/2013 17:27

Hmm interesting, what's a FMER?

OP posts:
VeryFaint · 14/11/2013 17:28

FRER!

OP it's a First Response test, a brand that is supposed to pick up the hormone earlier than others. Often advertised on the banner ads on this page :) you can get them in Boots/ supermarket pharmacy - pink packet.

VeryFaint · 14/11/2013 19:40

Ah yes, of course, I have heard of them! Smile

By the way, just to give a bit of background.. I have 3 DC under 6 and this wouldn't bee say if I was.
We were pretty sure we had finished our family and our house is bursting at the seams as it isBlush
However, if I am, well, we'll just have to deal with it and of course a baby is a blessing in many ways..

Yes always get very very faint lines often only on FR and nothing on others, have two dd's and another on the way!

Kikibee · 14/11/2013 19:50

Ooh how exciting, hurry up and test again, I neeeed to know that you are enlarging your family Grin

VeryFaint · 14/11/2013 19:53

Ah interesting.. See, I got a strong line with Ds1 but with the other two I only ever got quite faint lines. Never got a very convincing line.
Still, the lines I'm getting at the moment are really faint, I have to kind of tilt the test in the light to see them..

Have ordered some internet cheapy 'early' tests off eBay. I'll see what they show and maybe try a FR after that..

I had very faint lines so that I could hardly see them, I posted on here and was advised that a line was a line, I did a clearblue digital the next day and it said I was 1-2 weeks pregnant. I would advise doing one as it will either say pregnant or not so you will know for sure. Good luck.

VeryFaint · 14/11/2013 19:54

Lol Kiki, it's quite a scary thought! Think dh and I will have to go live in the shed if I am!
Hoping the tests will arrive in the morning..

Hi, I'm new to net mums - so hi! We've had our first month of ttc after 13 years together and 13 years in the and I am now 15 days since ovulation and due my period yesterday as I normally have a 28 day cycle.

Lucylu238 · 15/11/2013 09:07

Sorry i hit post before I'd finished! I was just adding and after 13 years on the pill. I had a month off the pill before we started ttc and last month was our first month. I am really impatient and tried testing last Sunday and got a negative and then I tested yesterday and got the faintest second line with a tesco pregnancy test. Tested again this morning and got exactly the same - a really faint line but you can see it. Not sure what this means but probably need to wait a few days and test again? I would post a pic of the test but I don't think you can?

VeryFaint · 15/11/2013 10:01

I hope it's good news for you Lucy! Sounds promising! Does the faint 2nd line have any colour to it? You can add a pic to your profile I think..

OP posts:
VeryFaint · 15/11/2013 10:01

I'm just waiting for the postie, hoping the 'early' tests I ordered will arrive today.

OP posts:
VeryFaint · 15/11/2013 11:03

Ok, tested with an eBay cheapy 'early' and nothing.. Just what looks like an evap line, no colour.
I feel like I'm going mad, I don't know why but I just got it in to my head that I'm pg, even though I don't particularly want to be right now. Can't put my finger on it, I just thought I was Hmm
