OK so a positive OPK is good but I just wasn't expecting it today, by my calculations (and symptom diary) my ov date was around 31st Oct and I had all the signs then but the OPK was only showing a very faint line. I've only been off the pill since September and have been using IC sticks since AF finished.
I didn't do OPK yesterday but the test at about 3pm this afternoon showed a bfp! A perfect line exactly the same as the control one, couldn't quite believe it. I'm so confused because I'm not getting any ov symptoms now and cm has pretty much gone. Has anyone experienced this?

Go and do a pregnancy test. Ov sticks pick up similar hormones - I discovered that I was pg with DD2 through ov sticks! If you ovulated on 31 Oct then you might now be picking up a BFP.

Thanks, 2 different possibilities but I know which I'd prefer! tooextra just had a go with IC as its all I have but bfn! Not even a hint of a line. Maybe I'll clutch at straws for a bit longer and try again in the morning.
downstairs I think thats most likely and I'll do another about the same time today. At least now I've picked it up I can ensure plenty of dtd and maybe there will be some good news in 2 weeks or so........

Hi, it can take a while for your cycles to settle. You can have 'false' ovulation signs in the beginning, so you get symptoms, positive OPKS, but then you might not ovulate yet. It should normally settle though.

rosiegal · 13/11/2013 16:40

I hope so blamber. Its really frustrating when you think you are seeing all the right signs but my body could be playing tricks on me! Must be punishment for all those years on the pill lol.

Hi Downstairs not much to report really, I had positive OPKs Monday and Tuesday but then negative ever since. Still getting quite a bit of ewcm but no other pains so far. Did a preg test yesterday morning which was bfn so I think that has been ruled out for now. How are you getting on? This baby making malarky is bloody frustrating! x

Well hopefully that means we have both just ovulated, or currently ovulating given the results of the OPKs. So now its just a waiting game to see if dtd has paid of this cycle. I'm keeping everything crossed (except my legs lol)
