Bfn but no AF

Ok I will make this as brief as possible I came off microgynon at the end of may and AF was appearing every 28 days give or take. In this cycle I got a three day bleed on day 9 which was unusual in how heavy it was on day 15 to 18 I got my high and peak days using cb OPKs, so ovulating when expected. I would have expected to get my period by now ( on day 29 of cycle) I bought a early predictor test bfn. I was so excited now I am absolutely gutted. Maybe my bleed on day 9 was the start of my cycles regulating but if I ovulated when cb indicated then I should be getting a positive by now shouldn't I ? I am approaching cycle 7 and I am desperate for my bfp. I am sure this month hasn't bee a success now but why no AF? Anyone have any reassuring words? I should say I got my bfp 2 days late with ds on a cheap supermarket test.

Hi mumtoacub, it can easily take until 16dpo to get a bfp and even longer for some women. It could be that you didn't actually ovulate until cd 19 or 20 after getting your high and peak days from cd 15-18, therefore there's still time for a bfp. Sorry you're in this position though, I know what it's like. Very best of luck.

Thanks pink that really helps and thanks for your understanding. I am thinking as long as no AF then there is hope!!! Ttc #2 is taking over my life it was so easy first time round and the disappointment is killing me. If I don't expect a bfp then I can't be to disappointed when AF arrives (evil witch)

Yes, there's definitely hope until AF shows up. Lots of women get a few bfn before their bfp, I know what you mean about ttc taking over your life. If you already have one child then everything is obviously working for you so it's only a matter of time.

Thank you so much. I'm concentrating on him and feel like a ungrateful cow, I'm sure it will happen eventually.

You're not an ungrateful cow! Don't say that. Ttc makes most people a little obsessive. Hopefully this is your month :-).
