Can lack of sore boobs be a symptom?

I usually get very sore boobs right after ovulation until AF arrives, but this month - nothing. Just wondered if anyone has experienced similar and got a BFP that month?

Not getting my hopes up too much, but seeing as this is very unusual for me it does make you wonder...

metal after 2 1/2 years of ttc I've list count of the symptoms I spotted. When I actually got pg I didn't have any! Apart from waking in the night for a couple of hours which hasn't stopped 3 months in

VJONES1985 · 10/11/2013 12:52

I think it's important to not think that everything is a symptom. Some women have sore boobs, some don't. I drove myself mad last month with 'symptom spotting' and then discovered that until an egg actually implants, most symptoms are caused by a normal rise in progesterone anyway. It's really hard I know, but I think the best thing you can do is relax. Good luck!

Oh don't worry, I'm not going mad with the symptom spotting, it was more idle speculation to pass the 2ww...

(First cycle I was convinced I was pregnant as had every symptom under the sun, until AF showed up! So I know to be more realistic now, but still can't completely ignore what's happening with my body.)

I'd say it would be unlikely for the lack of sore boobs to be a symptom Smile

The 2ww is tough and if I'm honest I think I only ever managed a 10day wait and that was bad enough.

When can you test? Fingers crossed!

Metalhead · 10/11/2013 14:55

I'll probably test Thursday, which will still be early (around 10/11dpo), but we're going away for a long weekend and it would be good to know before if I was pregnant! Got a bumper pack of IC tests too do at least I won't have to worry about wasting expensive sticks Grin

Metal - I'm the same; I used to be ridiculous with my symptom spotting and obsessing so this month have totally relaxed, but I agree that it's impossible to completely ignore your body. I'm currently 9 or 10dpo and finding it tough!

Mindboggle · 10/11/2013 15:26

I usually have very sore boobs and bloat up like a balloon before my period. My first indication that I was pregnant was when my boobs didn't hurt and my stomach stayed flat!. This was about 3-4 days before I was due on.
Fingers crossed for you.

VJONES1985 · 10/11/2013 15:35

I have no idea what's normal for me because I haven't long been off the pill.

Metalhead · 10/11/2013 16:19

Now that's what I wanted to hear Mindboggle! Smile Maybe this will be my month too.

Well I still don't have sore boobs, but increasingly painful cramps and backache today. It's about 8dpo so would be perfect timing for implantation...

OP posts:
VJONES1985 · 11/11/2013 21:32

metal I had that yesterday, which was 8/9 dpo!

Metalhead · 11/11/2013 21:55

Fingers crossed for both of us then! (Though I had similar cramps in my first cycle ttc and got a BFN, so not counting my chickens just yet)

VJONES1985 · 11/11/2013 22:01

Yeah, I've been quite positive about my symptoms so far but starting to doubt myself now!

Metalhead · 12/11/2013 07:37

When are you due AF, or when will you test? I'm not due on for another week but will probably cave in and test Thursday.

Cramps seem to have eased today, thankfully, as I have to go into London this morning.

Any news Metalhead??

Metalhead · 13/11/2013 21:21

Boobs are still not sore though I'm having lots of other symptoms - very bad bloating, occasional nausea, lots of creamy cm. I stupidly POAS today, which of course was negative as it is still far too early if I assume the cramps Monday and Tuesday were implantation related. (Or maybe it's just all in my head! )

Anyway, we're going away tomorrow for a long weekend and I'm not taking any hpts, will just try and relax and see if AF turns up next week.

Sounds like a good plan. Fingers crossed for you!

Metalhead · 13/11/2013 22:35

Thanks!

So it looks like I'm out for this month - got a BFN today at 14dpo. Boo!

AF still hasn't arrived, but realistically not expecting her to turn up at all would be clutching at straws here.

Off to the doc this afternoon to discuss why my cycles are so irregular and why I'm getting so many pains and cramps during the 2ww.

DontCallMeDaughter · 18/11/2013 17:03

Sorry to hear that MetalHead Hmm. Good luck at the GP, don't let them give you the brush off. You are more likely to get a sensible referral for painful/irregular periods than just a "fertility issue" so push the cramps and strange timings over the TTC aspect.

Let us know how you go.

Metalhead · 18/11/2013 17:53

GP didn't exactly laugh me out the door, but wasn't particularly helpful either. I tried not to mention that we are ttc, but she just said yes it could be endometriosis but we will only put you on the pill, so I had to tell her that that's not an option. To which she replied "you have to wait until you've been trying for 18 months to get a gyne referral as they won't do a laparoscopy before then if you're ttc"...
