How long would you wait to TTC in new job?

We want to start a family but I'm starting a new job.

Of course it could take any time to get pregnant , but how long would you wait before starting TTC in a new job?

Well I wouldn't start until you were in a position to support a baby should it happen straight away. Ie. until you'd been there enough time to get any maternity benefits.

But because it can take time I would start as soon as possible after that. It's what we did and still nothing well over a year later. At least if it had happened straight away I would have had a year off and mat pay.

It's a tiny company and I will be 1st female employee, so not holding much out for maternity benefits over smp
