Starting a new job / starting a family

DH and I were planning on starting a family in the new year.

However, a job offer took me by surprise and I will be starting a new job in December.

This means our plans for TTC will have to go on hold.

I am not at all clued up on pregnancy rights.

When could we start TTC to ensure that I am still covered maternity wise?

For statutory maternity pay, as long as you're not pregnant in the week you start you'll be covered.

Occupational schemes are all different. It's 2 years at my place for the maximum.

I'm in the same position.. I have to wait a year to qualify for occupational. :(

Would you be happy to wait a extra month or 2?

See what you contract says if anything.
