Chromosomal screening Edward's - advice?

I had a MMC three weeks ago at 13-14 weeks. The results have come back and the baby had Edward's Syndrome (Trisomy 18).

The doctor has taken bloods from me and DP, and sent them off for analysis for any chromosomal abnormalities. However doc couldn't tell us much about the test, apart from the fact it would help us know any increased chances of it happening again.

Does anyone out there have experience of this kind of testing, what it shows, what the odds are, how long the test will take to come back? It seemed like a good idea to do the test but I'm now worrying, worrying.

Thanks for anyone that can help.

My cousin's first pregnancy resulted in a baby with Edwards. She terminated at 23 weeks and has since had a perfect baby girl. Not sure whether they had any tests done.

So sorry for your loss Thanks
