complete opposite symptoms of AF... could I be...?

Hi ladies,

I'm normally a lurker, not a poster, but this is doing my head in. AF is due in six days and I normally get awful PMT, starting a good week before.

However, this.month, I'm completely chilled, my boobs are completely soreness free, my appetite is drastically decreased, tonnes of energy and no signs of cramps. I keep getting peculiar abdo sensations but not cramps.

Was just wondering if anybody else has had a similar experience and what the outcome was?

Thanks in anticipation.

The symptoms of pregnancy are the same as an impending AF, so they say, so I wouldn't be so sure either way at the moment. Positive thinking though!

NurseSapphire · 06/11/2013 21:37

Thanks ladyboluna, still no sign so fingers crossed. Thanks for your reply and all the best to you.

Could well be! Fx for you

allchatnicknamesgone · 07/11/2013 12:59

I think it's a good sign, especially the peculiar sensations. I like you start period cramps about a week before my period and I'd love a cycle when I didn't get them!

Wish you luck….

NurseSapphire · 12/11/2013 01:34

Thanks girls. AF due today, still no sign but BFN :( I guess I'll just have to wait and see how this plays out.

TeaAndCakeOrDeath · 12/11/2013 07:20

Give it a few days and test again? Might just be too early to get a reading, fx

Sausagesaurus · 12/11/2013 07:25

I agree with Tea. Fingers crossed and good luck!

NurseSapphire · 13/11/2013 09:48

CD32 (normally 30). No signs of AF. Another BFN. What the bloomin' heck is going onnnn? cries with frustration

OP posts:
allchatnicknamesgone · 13/11/2013 10:41

What Dpo are you though? Sorry it's so frustrating for you. X

NurseSapphire · 13/11/2013 15:38

I'm not sure what dpo I am :-/ my guess would be 13dpo at the very least. Thanks so much for your support. I actually feel psychotic.

OP posts:
allchatnicknamesgone · 13/11/2013 18:46

Um. I think most tests would pick it up at 13dpo, but some people do take longer for the hormones to build. I think try and wait it out another 48 hrs and if still no AF test again. It's depends on how you feel, but repeatedly testing can be quite emotional.
Keep us posted. Hopefully you'll know one was of another soon (you could always try and bring AF on with a bit of exercise or dtd if it really starts to do your head in :))

NurseSapphire · 13/11/2013 23:38

I didn't know you could speed AF up, thanks! Followed both aspects of your advice ;) (way TMI, apologies haha).

Feel a.bit crampy at the moment and have fluctuating breast tenderness. I will absolutely keep you posted. Will probably do another test in the morning if no AF (DAMN YOU, CHEAP AND FREELY AVAILABLE TESTS FROM AMAZON). x

Still no AF and another BFN. Now CD34. I feel like I'm in limbo, just really want to know either way. Also worried that something is wrong with me :(

If it helps any Nurse I easier 8 days late this month before after arrived (in which time Id got myself into a panic and managed to convince myself dc3 was on the way!) I think it just happens that a cycle messes up sometimes but maybe you notice it mire when its more important iyswim? Are you ttc ?

NurseSapphire · 20/11/2013 08:20

Thanks very much for your kind input, but thought you'd all like an update...

Got four BFPs last night! I am over the moon. That was CD40! I am living proof that you're so not out until AF arrives! Truly hoping that you will all get your BFPs super quick. xx

Congratulations Nurse!!

Gives me a glimmer of hope that I'm not just having a really long cycle this month... (CD38 and BFN today, though longest cycle has been 43 days in the past so I'm pretty resigned to AF showing up soon.)

TeaAndCakeOrDeath · 20/11/2013 11:20

Yay! Congrats Nurse! Thanks

NurseSapphire · 21/11/2013 17:25

Just reading this and wanted to say Yay!!! Congrats to you!

It's so hard trying to go through this, but having this here helps because I can actually talk about this, whereas I can't to family/friends!! :)

NurseSapphire · 22/11/2013 10:23

Aw, so kind, thanks!

What would we do otherwise when we had a burning question in the middle of the night?! xx

KitKat1985 · 22/11/2013 11:50

Just wanted to say congratulations NurseSapphire! Must be so exciting after all of that waiting and all of the BFNs!!! Go and have an enormous slice of cake to celebrate! Grin

allchatnicknamesgone · 22/11/2013 13:29

woop woop. just popped back to say huge congrats. what a great story! you must have O'd later than you thought perhaps…..x

shelterbelter · 22/11/2013 23:00

That's so lovely, really pleased for you. I am due on Sunday but no signs of yet which is strange for me. All HPT negative so far although been testing for a week so far too early. Will test in the morning which is CD29 so you never know.

Again, really pleased!

NurseSapphire · 27/11/2013 08:15

Thank you! Yeah, must have ovulated super late. Any news, shelter? x
