Hi ladies,

I've just got really excited. This will be our first "proper" month of ttc. CD01 was 26 Oct so if I have a regular 28 day cycle, my fertile period should be from tomorrow onwards (according to mn ovulation calendar), and I'm thinking it's going to be around about this time as (TMI) I have just been to the toilet and there was plenty of thick creamy cm, so I'm hoping in the next few days the EWCM will appear. However, my last cycle was 32 days so I could be being a bit too optimistic.

Nevertheless, my OH is home a day earlier than expected tonight so going to get right on to DTD.

I hope I'm right with the assumption that creamy thick CM will preceed EWCM...is the normally the assumption?

I'm just trying to go off cm at the moment as I don't want to start to obsess about temps etc, so if I can get the hang of recognising my fertile period by cm I'll be happy Smile

Sorry if I have been rambling!

xxx

Hey Sausage, I think that sort of CM can occur before and after OV. Maybe try to 'get to grips' with the whole C position aspect as well if you don't want to get too bogged down with temping. Be a good idea to use an app to chart these things, can be very helpful. I use BBT an it's no hassle really, and very informative Smile Good luck!!

Thanks for your reply Blue Smile

I'm hoping OV hasn't happened yet. I've not had any other CM and AF finished only a week ago. Obviously my cycles could be all over the place and still settling after coming off the pill.

I've promised my OH and myself that I'm not going to start using charts etc until we have been trying for a few months, I don't want to get in a position where I'm stressing and obsessing which can have an inadvertent negative affect, particularly as we don't live together yet and OH works away a lot so I know that if it's prime time and he's away it will just depress me (if all that makes sense!)

We're moving in together in a couple of weeks so it will be much easier then and will definitely look into charts etc if it hasn't happened afetr a few months. Good luck to you too! Smile
