I'm feeling quite pleased with myself as not only did we give DTD a really good shot this cycle but AF is due tomorrow and I haven't tested yet Smile Normally I would've used several cheapy internet tests by now but all I have in the house is an expensive Clearblue Digi test which I refuse to use until Wedneday morning if AF hasn't appeared by then. We're TTC for no. 2, DS1 is 17mo and I am still BFing twice a day. My cycles are pretty clockwork so Af would normally appear tonight of in the morning. We would love a 2 year school gap so this is our last shot for that as I'd prefer to avoid an August birthday so if Af comes then we will give TTC a break until after Christmas. Anyway...enough rambling...come chat if you're about to test/holding out for another few days!

Welcome lucyfluff, I'm so sorry to hear about your mc. I'm sure there's nothing wrong with you but the scan is a good idea and will put your mind at ease. I had a mc at 10 weeks preg back in the summer and my cycles were strange for the first couple of months - they were very short and I bled for much longer than normal each time. It is only my most recent cycle (3 months on) which has been normal. I think it takes a while for all your hormones to settle down. I pushed and pushed to get properly checked out though - I insisted on having another scan. Basically I refused to be fobbed off by the doctors. It was ultimately a big relief to be told that everything was looking ok when they did the scan.

Kitkat, I'm very, very sorry for your experience too. That really isn't fair. Life can be really shitty sometimes.

I don't know whether anyone will be interested in this but I found it interesting:

www.dailymail.co.uk/health/article-133198/After-miscarriages-I-feared-I-children.html

Like the woman in the article I got my hair tested and the results showed very high copper levels and very low zinc levels. On the basis of that, my DH and I started taking vitamins and put off trying again for a couple of months. The company that does the hair testing is this:

mumtoacub · 13/11/2013 19:29

Oh kitkat that is awful sending you love. Are you feeling a bit brighter today pink? Vjones are you around how are you today?
Still no AF here bought a cb digi this pm thinking of using it tomorrow morning what would you lovely ladies advise? I got a very faint line yesterday, when I say faint I had to tilt it into the light, squint, and I thing it appeared after the time lapse!! Jeezo talk about clutching at straws!
I am living on hope that AF hasn't arrived so there might be a chance, I really am terrified of getting a bfn.

mumtoacub · 13/11/2013 20:20

Please tell me what to do!!!!

1974rach · 13/11/2013 20:26

oh mumtoacub I wish I could hold your hand.

I don't think I can advise you what to do.

((hugs))

mumtoacub · 13/11/2013 20:36

Thanks 1974 I know deep down I need to make this decision myself. Gonna devise some coping strategies tonight.

1974rach · 13/11/2013 20:40

am here... happy to offer you a virtual hand to hold if you need one

xx

lucyfluff · 14/11/2013 09:07

Thanks pink...you are right about getting a scan. I think I need to 'know' that everything is ok down there! I do fall pg easily but this was my first mc so all pretty new to me.

I've poas today day 42 and BFN still :(

Also wanted to say sorry to hear your news kitkat...I was on another thread with you and didn't realise you had a bfp. Hugs to you, that's so shit twice in a row.

Grizzer · 14/11/2013 11:27

What did you decide mumtoacub? Did you test? I'm going to wait until the weekend because I can't stand the stress of is it or isn't it!?
I'm due today but no sign yet, no cramps either but I'm trying not to get my hopes up because I'm sure AF is just being a cruel beeyatch and she'll arrive the minute I start to think this could be my month. I had a couple of spots yesterday so I'm sure she'll come.

Mandyflo · 14/11/2013 14:31

So ladies, af was due yesterday. Bfn on internet cheapies so brought a frer. Bfn on that too. Boobs are really sore but no sign of af. Am wondering did I ov late, am I stressed (a few family issues this cycle) or could I still be pg.
Cm has been all over the place this cycle so have no idea really.
Last dtd on the 5th and was due yesterday 13th. Am really hoping late ov and we just caught it. Cycles usually 31 days ish. Who knows. This sucks :(

1974rach · 14/11/2013 15:38

AF has sort of arrived... This is the coming off the pill AF though and I suspect it will be the only time I will be pleased.

Do you think it may be a good idea to get some opk's for this month so I can track dates?

MrsCarridge · 14/11/2013 15:48

Gosh its awful reading what some of U have been through. I admire ur strength at keeping going and showing ur support for others on here.

How is everyone today? Mumtoacub, what did U decide? Did U pee on a stick?

Well AF still hasn't arrived!!! Last one was 4-7th October and not seen hide nor hair since. I have an appointment booked on Monday evening at the docs to see what they say and I have one frer test left...any advise as to when I should use it? Earliest being Friday morning latest being Monday morning??

Grizzer · 14/11/2013 21:30

I'd test Monday mrs c so you can tell the drs you tested that day. If you can't wait though they might use their own tests so you might as well test tomorrow!!
1974 I use opks but am going to stop after this month, apparently it puts too much pressure on dh & we need to just go with the flow! I think it's worth it for a couple of months though so at least you get an idea of when you ov.
I think I was due AF today, have spent all day checking knicks but nothing yet. No cramps either so started to get my hopes up but think I can feel it coming. Will test Saturday if nothing. I can't believe how much I feel when I'm obsessing! Constantly think I feel 'damp', slight itchy/tickly sensation in tummy, lower back ache. All in my head I'm sure. I can't think about anything else, it's driving my nuts!!

1974rach · 15/11/2013 07:58

Thanks for the advice grizzer I think I'll give them a go just for my own peace of mind. I think I just want to check everything is working Grin

MrsCarridge · 15/11/2013 09:14

Holy shit I did the first response test this morning....theres a line! Its faint but its definately a line. Will do a couple of other tests over the weekend to make sure im not losing my mind and imagining things but well, I think im pregnant!

Grizzer · 15/11/2013 10:14

AAAAhhhhh that's brilliant!! Congratulations xx

MrsCarridge · 15/11/2013 10:37

Thank you! Of course now im doubting myself and thinking what if its a FALSE positive? Im at work do won't be able to test again until later but I really should wait until the morning shouldn't I?? There is no way I will be able to concentrate at work today!!!

1974rach · 15/11/2013 10:55

Whoop whoop Mrs C Grin

Congratulations xxxxxxz

Grizzer · 15/11/2013 12:50

I know I should be grateful that I don't get really bad cramps with af but when I start to get my hopes up because she's a day late & I can't feel her coming I'm really not grateful at all, it's just annoying.
boo flippin hoo x

Pinkandwhite · 15/11/2013 14:51

MrsCarridge - congratulations! That's wonderful news! You must be so excited. Please keep us posted. Xx

I'm wondering the same thing about testing in the morning. I couldn't test yesterday or today because I'd been to the loo in the night so didn't have any fmu left! I keep waking up in the night at the moment. I'm having the weirdest dreams. My AF isn't even due until tomorrow so it's probably a good thing I haven't been able to test. I did do a test on Tues which was a bfn unsurprisingly.

Mandyflo · 15/11/2013 16:41

By congrats mrs c.
I'm now 2 days late and no sign although looking at period tracker and symptoms I'm thinking I ov'd proper late on the 7th nov. The last time we dtd was the 5th so I'm hoping if I did ov late we may still just be in with a chance.
Boobs started to hurt on the 17/18th around ov time and then stopped hurting (they tend usually to hurt from ov right through to af) so I' m thinking didn't quite make ov then. They started hurting again on 7th and haven't stopped since hence me thinking late ov.
Could this be the case do you think ???
Have Poas but negatives but if I did ov late then it would only be 8/9 days pos ov.
What's you views on this ??.

Pinkandwhite · 15/11/2013 19:17

Hi Mandyflo, are your periods usually regular? It could well be that you did ovulate as late as the 7th but even if you ovulated earlier, it could still be too early for you to get a bfp.

I find this website really interesting:

www.countdowntopregnancy.com/pregnancy-test/dpo-chart.php?dpo=12

It shows for example that at 12 dpo 16.4% of pregnant women still get a false negative. At 15 dpo 11.1% of pregnant women still get a false negative. So basically, if your AF is late you could still be pregnant even if you're getting bfn now. Good luck!

Grizzer · 15/11/2013 19:28

Seems my AF is taking at least 2 days to get started now. I had a couple of brown spots on weds, nothing yesterday & a few spots today. Nothing when I wipe. I can feel it now though so it'll be here tomorrow but weird how it's started to come quite literally drip by drip lol!!
Dh & I are going to an adoption open evening on weds. A big step but I feel really excited by it. Still TTC but I feel there are other options for us too so can hopefully relax a bit. I've really let it take over my life in the last few months.

mumtoacub · 15/11/2013 21:05

Hey ladies glad to be back mrsc I'm so happy for you!!!
I did cb digi yesterday morning NOT PREGNANT, so was to upset to check in yesterday, devastated really.
Still no AF and I just don't get it! usually regular as clockwork feel very "wet" grizzler also got mild cramps, I generally feel pregnant but I know I'm not. Had a late bleed last month one week after AF I can only assume that was my first real period and I am due again next week wish it would hurry so I can get on with cycle 7!!

Pinkandwhite · 15/11/2013 23:20

Hey mumtoacub, I just wanted to say I'm sorry you're having such a frustrating experience.

Grizzer - that's exciting about your adoption evening. Let us know how it goes. Out of interest, have you been offered clomid/IVF etc?

Grizzer · 16/11/2013 08:40

Morning everyone, AF finally arrived properly this morning. Disappointing but it's a relief that it's here. I was starting to think I'd stopped having normal periods!!
Pink, I've not been to drs about anything. I've only got 2 mcs on record although I think I've had a chemical too. I don't think they'll do anything because I've got pregnant on average every 6 months. I also have a daughter so they'll say there's no reason it shouldn't happen again. Dh is a believer in what will be will be so is not interested in ivf. Too be honest I'm not sure I could cope with it either. I'm still hopeful it'll happen soon but adoption is another option to look in to.
I'm a bit worried about why I'm getting this nausea though, I hoped it was a pg sign but obvs not. Got to book a smear this month so will have a chat with the nurse about everything x
