how hot is too hot? basal body temperature confusion....

Hi guys! As a newbie im after some advice on temping.... I've started this week just to get a bit of an idea if I am actually ovulating after coming off the pill. My first measurement on Tuesday was 98.2, now this seemed ok but when I went yo plot it realised this was off the top of my chart, slightly alarming!! It has remained at this level all week, so is this a really high temp or have I just got a dodgy chart, lol!!

Are you temping with a special basal body temp thermometer? And doing it whilst still lying in bed when you first wake up? Does seem quite high but I'm no expert!

yes it's a new basal thermometer and each day I've taken it in bed before getting up, hmmmm, confusing?!

So what has it been on the other days?

It was 98.2 Tues, 98.1 weds, 98.2 Thurs and today...... I don't feel too hot, lol! I was also not expecting to ov until this weekend but it could happened earlier, either way I was just worried it was off the chart....

Hi hev - are you sure you are using a Fahrenheit chart? 98.6 F is considered the average bbt. A good app to use is fertility friend. Hope you get it sorted!

Ah yes! Convert it to C and it should be fine!!

Thanks for your help guys, it is meant to be a 'F fertility chart that came with the thermometer, so think ill just print another one off the web to use!
