Hello been ttc #2 now for about 3 months know its early to be getting stressed out but its all I can think about starting to become obsessive!

Last period was 21st Sep got a positive opk on the 13th oct ovulated 14th (know this coz of pains) now its 14 dpo and poas the last few days all negative! is it still too early? my cycles are usually long they varing around 45 days, does it matter how long my cycle is when its already been 2 weeks since ovulation? If I was to be lucky this month would I have already had a positive by now??
Anybody else had similar experience?
Thanks in advance x Smile

Seven days after doing the deed I believe on some tests. Expensive experience tells me it's worth waiting until you don't get your period

I always tested positive from day 9 but generally you should expect a clear answer from day 14. There are always exceptions to this though and some women never get a positive test. In theory though, most people would expect a clear positive 2 weeks after ovulation.

It is possible you didn't ovulate when you think. OPKs only show a hormone surge which might not lead to ovulation at all. I get ovulation pain but it changes from a couple of days of achy/bruised type feeling (not ovulation, but the build up), to a sharp pain and a headache on the actual day of ovulation. The pains you felt might not have been ovulation or might have been your body trying to and not ovulating.

Just give it a few days or a week and wait and see. If your cycles are 45 days long then I'd expect you ovulate much later in your cycle than the average day 14.

The earliest I have had is 11dpo but it was very very faint (and the pregnancy didn't stick).

I agree that you are likely to ovulate later in your cycle if the usualy length is 45 days. Ov usually happens 12-16 days before your period starts.
